Arshdeep is the one raising the trophy as India celebrate and pose for the photographs. That tradition of letting the youngsters take centerstage continues. It's been a strong performance from the visitors in the white-ball leg of the tour, taking both the T20Is and ODIs 2-1. It's not come without some concerns though, specifically that of the top-order in ODIs. But today their failures gave a chance for the likes of Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant to spend some time in the middle. And didn't they just make the most of it. England too would be delighted with Reece Topley's growth, if not with their batting. So that's all from this tour. India will go to West Indies next without many of their big names. Good opportunity for those on the bench as Rohit referred to. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Rohit Sharma, India captain: Very pleased. Came here, wanted to achieve something as a group in white ball. We were here last time and were beaten, I remember that. Not an easy place to come and win games. It was a good pitch, but we do understand it's not going to be easy if we lose wickets upfront. Positive side of it, these guys haven't batted much in the middle overs. Today we got to see that with Hardik and Rishabh. At no point we felt they were panicking. They backed themselves and played cricketing shots. He's a critical member for us (Chahal). Has got so much experience bowling in all formats. Pretty pleased with how he's come back after the WC. Hardik as well. One side boundary was long, he kept bowling the bouncers and got rewards for it. Not really (Worried about top-order?). To be honest, the wicket didn't have much. We played some not so good shots. Still back those guys to come out good. One of those series where top order hasn't come to the party. Have got nothing more to say because I know the quality they bring to the team. We've got some solid guys sitting on the bench who've been waiting to get a game. Want to create that bench strength. Injuries are bound to happen, have to manage workload, so need to build bench strength. Have got some solid guys who will get their opportunity in West Indies.
Jos Buttler, England captain: I thought we were short (of runs). Needed a good start which we got actually (with the ball). Throughout the whole summer so far we haven't batted our best. He (Topley) has been brilliant for us, put in a man of the match performance in the T20s as well. He was just creaking a bit, it's been a tough schedule and will probably have to look after him (Topley bowling 7 overs). If you give good players a chance they hurt you, half-chance with Pandya, along with the stumping. If we took our chances, with India's tail, could've got hold of the game. I've found it (captaincy) absolutely fine to be honest. Missed a chance but don't think it's got anything to do with captaincy. I'm an experienced cricketer but a young captain. Rash (Rashid) has probably been the most important player in our team for a long time. Look forward to welcome him back.
Hardik Pandya, Player of the Series: White ball is something close to me. We all know how good a team England is. For us as a team it was important to come here, set out the plans what we'll bowl and execute it. Important for me to stop the runs, bowl as many dot balls. They were cruising at one point. I love short balls. Don't fancy people taking me on. Gets me into the game. Don't mind getting hit for six sixes also if I can get a wicket. That's his (Livingstone) game as well, he takes his chances. I always feel I'm shameless as a bowler. Don't care how far I get hit. We all know what talent he (Pant) has. Finally today he was playing the situation. The partnership changed the game for us. The way he finished the game was also special.
Rishabh Pant, Player of the Match: Hopefully I remember (this knock) for the rest of my life. I was focusing on one ball at a time when I was batting. When your team is under pressure and you bat like that .. something I aspire to do. I always enjoy playing in England, at the same time enjoy the atmosphere and the situation. The more you play the more experience you gain. Nothing to take away from the bowlers, it was a good wicket to bat on and the bowlers did a commendable job to restrict them, they were brilliant not only today but for the entire series.

Diuman: Hardik has looked so mature since the IPL captaincy experiment. It looks like luck is with him every time he enters the field just like MSD. Is anyone up for Hardik Pandya as white-ball captain after Rohit???
Diuman: Why can't Pant play such sensible innings every time he comes to the crease? Keep in mind that he has lots of international experience now and such innings should not be once in a blue moon.
Divyesh: Rishabh Pant always shines in a series decider: 89* at Gabba (2021) 125* at Manchester (TODAY).
18:17 Local Time, 17:17 GMT, 22:47 IST: An incredible turnaround here at Old Trafford as India have risen from a difficult situation to cruise to the target. Big smile on the face of Rishabh Pant out there who's being congratulated by opposition and teammates alike. A terrific knock today from him, getting to his first ODI hundred, and eventually getting his team home in a blaze with some eight overs to spare. But don't forget Pandya's role in it. He was outstanding first with the ball, and then with the bat. Pant was actually the more subdued of the two as they went about trying to rebuild the innings from 72/4. But Pandya's timing was on fire the minute he walked out. The two were involved in a stand of 133 for the fifth wicket, and by the time Stokes pulled off a good catch diving forward to dismiss Pandya on 71, India were just 55 away. And Pant made a mockery of that, even hitting five boundaries in an over before finishing it off with a reverse-sweep. We've already seen him do special things in Test cricket in his very young career, and now he's arrived in the ODIs. His glovework is only getting better and better as well. The only one missing chances with the gloves today was Buttler, who could've possibly had a stumping chance off Pant early in his innings but failed to collect the ball. Pant made England pay dearly.
Root to Pant, FOUR, finishes it off with a reverse-sweep past short third! Oh what a gem this has been from Rishabh Pant to seal the series for India
Joe Root, right-arm off break, comes into the attack

David Willey
7-0-58-0
Willey to Pant, 1 run, and as if to tease everyone he knocks this last ball through midwicket quite gently. A slower ball to finish the over that has disappeared for 21
Willey to Pant, FOUR, oh goodness, how powerfully has this been hit! Half-volley again, and blasted down the ground as the target is just one hit away now
Willey to Pant, FOUR, and here's four more! Short of length around off, Pant walks across the stumps and pulls it away fine
Willey to Pant, FOUR, blazed away through extra cover! Willey doling out a rubbish half-volley and Pant hammering it away
Willey to Pant, FOUR, now through square leg! Another short ball, and Pant isn't going to back down. He takes it on and pulls it away
Willey to Pant, FOUR, short outside off, Pant nails the flat-batted forehand over mid-off. Uff, hasn't he nailed this

Craig Overton to Pant, 1 run, there it is! Rishabh Pant doing special things for India is nothing new, but what's new this time is the format. He's waited 26 games for his first ODI hundred, and it's come in the decider after the team seemed to be down and out. Subdued in the beginning, and now unleashing as victory is in sight. Gets on top of this short ball and pulls through square leg
Craig Overton to Pant, 2 runs, oh this is miscued in the air, but it's just out of Willey's reach at midwicket. A short ball that rushes Pant on the pull. He gets away with it. Onto 99
Craig Overton to Pant, no run, short of length into the body, Pant tries tucking it away but gets it quite high on the bat. It goes quite gently to midwicket. Jadeja has come charging down but Pant sends him back
