A professional performance from the Kiwis. The partnership between Ross Taylor and debutant Kyle Jamieson turned out to be the game-changing moment in this match. India will be rueing the fact that they let things slip after having the opposition on the mat at 197/8. A harsh reality check for Virat and his boys. Still one game left and they'll be hoping to pick up a consolation win in the third game which is slated to be played in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday (February 11). As Latham said at the presentations, New Zealand will be eyeing for the whitewash. And that winds up our coverage for today. Join us back for the last game of this series, until then goodbye from us here. Ta ra!
Tom Latham: It's a great victory. The last game, batters won the game and today the bowlers did the job for us. It's always a funny wicket, if you pick up early scalps, you are always in the game. That partnership for us towards the back-end was a vital one. I was never satisfied till the last wicket was taken. It was about juggling the bowlers around. They kept coming back and Kyle on debut was fantastic today. It will be great to win 3-0, fingers crossed!
Virat Kohli | India captain: Two good games, and it's great for the fans. I'm impressed with how we finished. We let things slip away from 208-6 to 270+ in the first half but came back strongly with the second half of our batting. We were in trouble with the bat, but Saini and Jadeja played really well, as did Shreyas. ODIs aren't too relevant this year compared to Tests and T20s, but to find people who can play that way under pressure is a big revelation for us and a big plus. We could consider changes in the final game, since we have nothing to lose now. We'll play expressive cricket and not worry too much about the result. It's upto the individuals to fight. We didn't send them any messages, becasue those aren't what your instincts are telling you to do. We didn't know how Saini could be with the bat, so if the lyer order could be that good, then it inspires the middle order and the top order to step it up too.
Kyle Jamieson, Man of the Match - On a high at the moment, need time to sink it in; the game ebbed and flowed all along. Pretty simple, take it to the 50 overs (about his batting stint with Ross Taylor), a total of around 230-240, we would have been happy, just wanted to stay there and stick with Ross, be there till the end. A surreal moment to get a wicket in the first over, it was more relief than anything else, happy that I didn't go for too many. International cricket is high intensity with a big crowd watching along.
Sid: "The bottom five have more runs on board than the first five. India has definitely improved its lower-order in the process of finding the perfect No.4 batsmen." - Yeah, perhaps inadvertently so.
23:04 Local Time, 10:04 GMT, 15:34 IST: New Zealand have survived a massive scare here. Spare a thought for Jadeja, yet another case of so-close-yet-so-far. How the tables have turned. After getting clean-swept 0-5 in the T20Is, coming into the ODI series with their regular captain Kane Williamson ruled out of the first two games, New Zealand have showed tremendous character to clinch the series against the mighty Indians. The visitors were positive at the start in the chase with Prithvi Shaw striking three fours in the first over. But some impeccable bowling from New Zealand's bowlers saw India slipping to 71/4 after suffering a top-order collapse. Shreyas Iyer revived things with a fighting fifty but threw it away playing a rash shot to Bennett. Jadeja then put his hand up and got some useful support from the likes of Shardul and Saini. Although, New Zealand didn't buckle under pressure and pegged back India by picking up wickets at crucial junctures. It all boiled down to 23 from the last two and Neesham held his nerve to pick up Jadeja's wicket to seal the deal for his team.
Harsha Bhogle: Can understand Jadeja trying to take it deep but he had to play the shots for India to win. Was a disappointing batting performance today.

Neesham to Jadeja, out Caught by de Grandhomme!! That's the game for New Zealand. Jadeja can't emulate his 2014 knock where he helped India tie the game. The hosts have wrapped up the series 2-0 with one game to go. Neesham stuck to his same plan by planting it wider of off. Jadeja gets under it this time, thought he had made good connection by biffing it down the ground. However, only times it as far as de Grandhomme at long-off. Jadeja c de Grandhomme b Neesham 55(73) [4s-2 6s-1]

Bennett to Bumrah, no run, very full, looking for the yorker. Bumrah keeps it out
Jasprit Bumrah, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Bennett to Jadeja, out Chahal Run Out!! 1 run completed. Never run on a misfield they say. Well, well.. Chahal's short of his ground by an inch or two. Jadeja drives it to extra cover, Neesham with a bit of fumble and Chahal sensed that they could steal the second. Dashes down only to realize that Jadeja ain't too keen. Neesham despite the blip shows good awareness and fires the throw to the keeper. Chahal with a valient dive, not enough. Quick whip of bails from Latham. End of the story. Chahal run out (Neesham/Latham) 10(12) [4s-1]
