That is it from the 3rd ODI. India have ensured they can't lose the series. They would be gutted if they don't make it 4-0 actually. Windies have a lot of homework to do. Only going back to the drawing board won't help. We will look forward to your company very soon. Till then buhbye from Kumar Abhisekh Das and my mates Raju Peethala, Akshay Maanay, Abhinand and Praveen.

Kuldeep Yadav (3/50 & 3/41) is the second Indian bowler to take three wickets each in both his first two ODIs after Piyush Chawla (3/37 & 3/29).

Best figures for Ashwin away from home:
4/25 v UAE, Perth, 2015

MS Dhoni: It is like wine (about him getting better with age). I think we are not getting too much of an opportunity because the top-order has been batting really well in the last 1 and a half years. It feels good to go out there and score some runs. If we are in the same situation in the coming games, we will get 15-20 runs more. There was variable bounce and pace on the wicket. It was important to have a partnership at that time. Personally, I had 250 in the mind. Kedar batted really well with me. We knew if we had wickets in hand we can get there. It was something that the bowlers could have defended and am glad that they did. The extra fielder is inside the circle. So, we need to be careful with the spinners. He (Kuldeep) has played a lot of IPL and domestic games. But it is important to know in ODIs when and where to use the variety. We need to guide him for 5-10 games. Then he would know where the batsman's strength lies. If the batsman can play inside out better or the cut shot. The good thing is he bowled really well compared to the last game.

MS Dhoni is the Man of the Match. His 21st Man of the Match Award.

Virat Kohli: I think it was a very clinical performance. Early on there was quite a bit of moisture on the wicket. It was really a good toss for them to win and they bowled really well upfront. Ajinkya batted well and Yuvi's 40-odd (39) were really important runs. MS at the end along with Kedar finished it really well. We thought 250 was a very competitive total. The bowlers bowled really well despite the wicket being better in the second innings. When we needed the wickets, the two spinners stepped up. When we needed the runs, MS again finished the innings along with Kedar. Rahane at the top of the order and Yuvi as well. Individuals will hardly win you games. It is important to raise your hands and perform. We have quite a few players who have not got a game. It is important to have a look at them and figure out where they stand in pressure situations.

Jason Holder: I thought the bowlers did a hell of a job. We put in a good effort in the first 10 and controlled them in the middle overs. One criticism was at the back end of the innings, in the last overs. I thought Kesrick did a reasonable job. He didn't start off the way he wanted to. Kyle Hope was outstanding on the field despite a dropped catch. We have to convert. We have to obviously adjust our batting. We need to bat better. On the field we were pretty good though.

Windies started off on a poor note and lost Lewis early thanks to some pace and movement from Yadav. Their innings could have had a different story to tell had the Hope brothers for the second wicket and the pair of Powell and Jason Mohammed continued a bit longer. The spin twins - Ashwin and Kuldeep picked three wickets apiece. The two wickets to Pandya off the short ball gave India the initial space as well and dashed the 'Hopes' of Windies. Another dismal performance from them despite winning the toss on a wicket where toss did matter a lot. The captain comments and the MoM declaration coming up. IMHO, Dhoni might as well pip everyone to the award today.

It has been a clinical show from the Indians despite getting a difficult proposition while batting and bowling. When they were put into bat, the wicket was sticky and tricky. Rahane, the glue, batted well and insured the Indian innings of playing out the 50 overs. The last 10 overs was about the Dhoni-Kedar partnership as they exploded their way to an 81-run partnership off 46 balls. India managed a par score of 251/4.

Kedar Jadhav to Kesrick Williams, out Bowled!! Kohli opts up for Jadhav and the batsman plays down the wrong line to prick the sticks. He played well inside the line of the ball for the ball to clatter into the off-pole. India go 2-0 up and Jadhav signals to his keeper and the skipper that he bowled a top-spinner there. Ashwin to Miguel Cummins, out Lbw!! 150th ODI wicket for the spin magician from Chennai. That was a flat, quick ball aimed for the pads and it did just that. The back pad was missiled by the parabola and the umpire was quick to raise his finger. No review was there for the aid of Miguel Cummins as it looked slightly high. Miguel Cummins lbw b Ashwin 1(4)
