Again, just to reiterate and perhaps state the obvious, India, for the first time in their T20I history, are playing a super fearless brand of cricket in tune with the times. Nobody's dropping anchor, nobody talks about batting out an innings, nobody bothers cashing in on starts by slowing down and holding up one end. The batsmen come, aim for the stands, and are happy to go out swinging. It's time we go out too, as I, Vineet Anantharaman, sign off on behalf of Pradeep Krishnamurthy, and our scorer, Praveen. Until tomorrow, at Florida again, and perhaps some experimenting, ta ta!!
Rohit Sharma | Winning captain: I think it was pleasing how we played the game. The conditions were not easy but we got to a good score. A lot of thought went in on how we batted and it was pleasing to see. The pitch was quite slow which our bowlers used to their advantage. I thought 190 was a good score, but with the kind of batting that WI have, no score is good. We played good cricket to get the win today. The batters were really smart and the bowlers bowled in pairs to get wickets. It put the brakes on their scoring. We do understand Avesh's talent. Anyone can have one or two bad games, but we want to keep his skills in mind. We want to give boys enough game time in the middle. He used the conditions and his height really well, which was great to see. I would also like to thank all the people who came in; I know it is hot and it isn't easy to sit out there and watch the game. There's another day to go.
Avesh Khan | MoM: I feel really good because I didn't do well in the last two games. I just focussed on my strengths today, bowling the hard lengths. My coaches and my captain told me that they were backing me. They told me to bounce back and backed me a lot. I am focussing on the next match that is left now. The ball was stopping a bit in the wicket and so I was just mixing my slower deliveries with the hard lengths, which gave me the results. This ground feels like India only, it feels like home. Happy that the crowd came to see us.
Nicholas Pooran | Losing captain: We know they got off to a flying start, but I was happy with the way our guys came back. Unfortunately we didn't get a partnership, it was a par score. Not ideal to get run out, it changed the game. There was some miscommunication. But the other guys could have put their hands up and taken us over the line. Akeal was brilliant with the ball. The others too need to find their rhythm and find the game. But having said that, congratulations to India. As a unit we want to win games and tomorrow is an opportunity to take it. It give other guys an opportunity to come in. It is all about building up to that World Cup and finding that balance.
14:53 Local Time, 18:53 GMT, 00:23 IST: Quite the no contest this. There was a point in the chase when Nicholas Pooran went nuts in the powerplay, going after Axar Patel to smack him for three sixes and a four in an over. It was game on. The pitch wasn't tough, the boundaries were small, and he was in the mood. Alas, in a quest for a needless single, he was sold down the river just as needlessly. And what a shame that was. The rest of the West Indian innings just collapsed after that. Nobody got going, and India's seamers - Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh - were too hot to handle. Arshdeep, in particular, with his left-arm angle and his reversing yorkers, has given India another dimension, and another headache to deal with when Bumrah and Harshal return. West Indies have bigger headaches. They are still to find a template to play T20s. Okay, here come the presentations ..
Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, out Bowled!! 3-1 completed. And it's through some absolute domination. Much like this delivery -- full, tailing in late, going under the batswing, and uprooting leg-stump. Obed McCoy b Arshdeep Singh 2(8)
Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Hooda to Alzarri Joseph, no run, a quiet, defensive, defeat-accepting punch, to point
Hooda to Obed McCoy, 1 run, another leg-cleared heave, outside-edging it without control, wide of short third man
Hooda to Obed McCoy, no run, a massive, mega slog. Alas, without connection

Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, no run, a quick low full toss. Jabbed back, typically #11 like
Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, no run, yorker, just outside off, holding its line this time around. McCoy drives and misses
Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, no run, WI review an LBW: Another inswinging yorker, traps McCoy in his crease, on his toes, oh, and despite it being given on the field, ball-tracking shows the impact to be well down leg. Singh wasn't even celebrating, and wasn't letting anyone else celebrate either, signalling it to be going down
Arshdeep Singh to Obed McCoy, no run, low dipping full toss on off, squeezed out to point
Obed McCoy, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Arshdeep Singh to Drakes, out Bowled!! Inswinging, reversing yorker, and Arshdeep continues sealing his World T20 spot. He's mastering this art of getting the ball to tail back in late and dip right in the blockhole. It also helps matters that Drakes plays down the wrong line entirely, with the ball smashing into the base of middle. Drakes b Arshdeep Singh 5(7) [4s-1]
