West Indies 0 -- 1 India! The hosts got hammered in the Dominica Test in three days. They came up with a better performance here in Port of Spain, but it was India who were in the driver's seat for the majority of the Test. Weather had the last laugh at the Queen's Park Oval just like it did in Manchester yesterday. 4 WTC points for both teams from this Test and it's time to bring the curtains down. The action shifts to Barbados which will host the first two ODIs. The 3-match series is expected to grab more eyeballs as India will prepare for the 2023 World Cup. The Caribbean side, meanwhile, will be eyeing a fresh start and hopefully a good one after hitting a low in the 50-over format - not qualifying for the WC. Tune in on Thursday (27th July) for the opening ODI. Until then, it's goodbye from Abhinand Raghavendran on behalf of Kumar Abhisekh Das and Vinod...

Rohit receives the cheque and the winner's trophy. Jadeja having a chat with his counterpart Warrican - they are definitely talking about left-arm spin. That's a good sight. India will be gutted not to win this Test but that's sport, that's cricket. Plenty of positives for them in this series though. Ashwin picking 12 wickets in the first Test after getting dropped for the WTC final. Yashasvi Jaiswal's memorable debut scoring 171 on his international debut. Rohit Sharma notching up three 50+ scores in as many outings. Kohli scoring a fifty and hundred in his two innings. Siraj's second five-for in Tests. Ishan Kishan's blazing maiden Test fifty.

Rohit Sharma | India captain: Every win is different. Playing in WI has its own challenge. Happy with the way things went. We gave it a good shot, unfortunately we couldn't get any play today. We actually went out with a positive intent yesterday. Rain had its final say. We were quite confident. You know how difficult it is batting last. We always wanted that kind of score where we wanted the opposition to go for it. There wasn't much on the surface. No play today, unfortunate for us. Siraj, I have been watching him closely. He's taken such a giant step. He has led this attack. I don't want anyone to lead the attack. I want everyone to lead when they are having the ball in their hand. You want the entire pace battery taking the responsibility. You need guys like Ishan (Kishan). We wanted quick runs, we promoted him, he wasn't afraid. He was the first one to put his hand up. In Test matches, you need guys who stabilise the innings like what Virat (Kohli) did, he played superbly. You need the mixture of everything. We have depth, we have got variety. We are in the right place. It's about getting the job done. I always believe in getting better as a team. I said after the World Test Championship final as well. We've played consistent cricket. That's what we are looking at. We want to focus on all three aspects of the game. We need to be a good fielding unit. Bowlers - how they respond under pressure. What sort of mindset batters go in with under challenging conditions. That's what I am looking forward to.

Kraigg Brathwaite | West Indies captain: We showed some fight in this game with the bat. Bowling-wise, we can be more disciplined. It was a good comeback from the batters. We lost five wickets yesterday, that wasn't good. Top-order batting 100+ overs is pleasing. We were positive, we had 98 overs on a pitch that was relatively good. It (chase) was on. Unfortunately with the weather, we didn't get a chance. Alick (Athanaze) looked good from the word go. In the Dominica Test, he belonged. They have good pitches in Australia. Continue working on your game, come and enjoy it. Kirk (McKenzie) looked good in his first match. These two guys have promise. They are the future. I have a lot of belief in these two. It'll be good to have some camps, some match practices. Using Kookaburra balls. Preparation is important. We need to bat for long periods against good teams. Some countries have club cricket going on.

Mohammed Siraj | Player of the Match: This is my first Player of the Match award in Tests, very pleased. There wasn't much help for the pacers. I kept my plans simple and executed. When you pick wickets in conditions like this, you get loads of confidence. Rohit bhai asked me to believe in myself, not take any pressure and enjoy.

It's a shame that weather has played spoilsport in this centennial Test between West Indies and India. Inserted to bat, India posted 438 on the back of Virat Kohli's century and fifties from four other batters. In reply, the hosts got off to a slow and cautious start. Their captain - Brathwaite - notched up a half-century and the Windies batted out the entire third day. However, they collapsed on day four - losing their last five wickets inside the first hour as Siraj ran through the lower-order and claimed a fifer. India, with a 183-run lead, scored quickly and declared with almost four sessions left in the Test. Chasing 365, Brathwaite started off on a positive note but Ashwin removed the skipper for the second time in the match and backed it up with one more wicket in his following over. The equation was '289 runs vs 8 wickets' coming into the final day with 12 WTC points up for grabs but the rains failed to relent and ensured that there was no cricketing action on the final day. Presentations coming up shortly...

14:49 Local Time, 18:49 GMT, 00:19 IST: And that's it. The match has been called off. The players shake hands.

14:28 Local Time, 18:28 GMT, 23:58 IST: Live visuals show the rain pelting down. And there's the sound of thunder rumbling in the background too. We might as well call it off now and go home. But such is cricket's vagaries, that we will wait.

14:26 Local Time, 18:26 GMT, 23:56 IST: Still raining. It stopped for a while and started again. This looks done by the looks of it. Meanwhile stay tuned for all the rain updates.

13:55 Local Time, 17:55 GMT, 23:25 IST: Live visuals show the floodlights on and dark clouds in the background. The Indians sit around in a group and chit-chat. As do the West Indies team who are in their training kit. Jadeja joking around and sipping on what looks like Orange juice. So that's the latest.

13:49 Local Time, 17:49 GMT, 23:19 IST: Here is the tweet from TOI which confirms my previous update: Update - More delay! No rain but a massive cloud is coming over. The pitch has been covered yet again.

13:42 Local Time, 17:42 GMT, 23:12 IST: Argghhhhhh! The covers are back on. What frustration this is. The covers are on as a result of a huge cloud coming over. It's a precautionary move as the groundstaff expect rain to come. We can only twiddle our thumbs and wait.

13:33 Local Time, 17:33 GMT, 23:03 IST: "The covers are off as the drizzle stops! Play to begin at 13.40 Local Time (11.10 PM IST) - if there's no further rain," is the latest tweet (should we call it X?) from BCCI.

13:15 Local Time, 17:15 GMT, 22:45 IST: "Slight drizzle," says Samuel Badree on air. Rohit Sharma is seen signing autographs. In fact, it has stopped raining. And the groundsmen have started to remove the covers.

13:07 Local Time, 17:07 GMT, 22:37 IST: Oh dear. Scratch the previous update. The rain's back! The players were warming up a few minutes ago. The play was set to start in less than 10 minutes but the heavens have opened up again. The covers come on again.

13:05 Local Time, 17:05 GMT, 22:35 IST: Revised timings for day five -- Second session: 13:15 to 15:15 | Tea - 15:15 to 15:35 | Final session - 15:35 - 17:30, plus an additional 30 minutes.

Evildricks: "@Keshav, I don't think Windies will attack at all. They were already blocking everything from Day 2 and now they have to score 289 in 67 overs on a Day 5 pitch."

Keshav: "It would be exciting to see Windies' approach, whether they will come all guns blazing or block everything."

12:22 Local Time, 16:22 GMT, 21:52 IST: Play to start at 13:15 Local Time (22:45 IST). 67 overs to be bowled. Let's hope that the weather stays clear.

12:15 Local Time, 16:15 GMT, 21:45 IST: The stumps have been erected. We should have a start time shortly....

Robin Gandhi: "@Pradeesh Reddy - A roof doesn't mean it needs to be fixed. We have stadiums with retractable roofs. Comes into action only when its raining to continue the play. Totally disagree with your point."

12:00 Local Time, 16:00 GMT, 21:30 IST: Lunch would have been taken now had the game started on time. It's safe to say that the first session has been washed out.

Pradeesh Reddy: "Having a roof built on stadiums is a no-no for me. The ability that a climatic change possesses in changing the conditions, course of the game is one of the reasons which makes cricket a unique sport. If I was an administrator, I would never entertain that thought."

Eshan Khot: "@Gautam - I think Ben Stokes and Rohit Sharma have something else to say to you about sixes being hit in a Test match. Agree with the sentiment though!"

Vinod Dass: "Since India are in a strong position to win this match, there are discussions about roofs. Imagine a '90s Indian team looking to score 289 runs on the final day with Tendulkar and Azhar in the hut and staring at bowlers like Walsh, Ambrose, Bishop, Patterson ... one would think a draw is better."

11:25 Local Time, 15:25 GMT, 20:55 IST: The ground staff have started the mopping up process. The covers are being peeled off. Live pictures show blue skies. Yay! Just the hessian cover on the pitch currently.
