If you've been following us on Fantasy Handbook, I'm sure you've had a bumper day. Pooran and Hardik as captain/vice-captain choices, Tilak, Akeal and Romario doing well. So that's all from our coverage here. India have fallen 0-2 down and will have to win three in a row to take the series. Going to take some doing. Until next time, it's goodbye from us here.
Rovman Powell: It's a very good position to be. Since 2016 we haven't won T20 series. It was deliberate to change the bowlers constantly and give one over spell, especially fast bowlers because it is very hot. When you are batting wrist spin, it is hand as a right-hander. To limit Chahal, Kuldeep and Bishnoi we need left-handers. To have Pooran and Hetmyer is important to counter that
Hardik Pandya: If am being honest that was a not a pleasing batting performance, we could have batted better. 160+ or 170 would have been a good total. The way he has been batting, becomes very difficult to rotate spinners. 2/2 and the way he batted, took the game quite into their hands. With the current combination we have we will have to trust out top 7 batters to come good and hope the bowlers win you games. We have to find ways to make sure we have the right balance but at the same time batters need to take more responsibility. Left-hander coming at 4 gives us variety. It doesn't feel like it's his second international game.
Nicholas Pooran | PoTM: Satisfied that I performed. Something that I have been looking for in the last couple of years, so be there and finish games. I want to be consistent. I have been working so hard, I have made a lot of mistakes, lost a lot of games for my teams. I want to entertain the fans as much as possible. It's about being positive and confident.
14:08 Local Time, 18:08 GMT, 23:38 IST: It's 2-0 with three games to go. The home crowd enjoyed that victory. West Indies definitely were the better team, although they let things slip towards the ends and in the end held on to get over the line. It took a great effort from Tilak, handy contribution from Hardik and a timely hit from Bishnoi at the end for India to get to 150, which is a challenging total. And when Hardik got two in his first over, India were on top. Soon Mayers fell but Pooran counterattacked in style. 18 came off the final powerplay over and Pooran ensured his team was always ahead with hits to the fence. West Indies were cruising but Pooran's dismissal led to a dramatic collapse as West Indies lost 4 wickets for 3 runs in 13 balls. Akeal and Alzarri absorbed pressure and stitched an unbeaten 26-run for the ninth wicket to stop India from levelling the series. India should have definitely got at least 10 runs more. They had a decent time with the ball, but couldn't stop the carnage from Pooran.
Mukesh Kumar to Akeal Hosein, FOUR, full and outside off stump, smashed down the ground and mid-off is a spectator. Akeal Hosein brings out his trademark blocking out the noise celebration. West Indies win consective T20Is for the first time against India
Mukesh Kumar to Akeal Hosein, 2 runs, lofted over mid-wicket, in the gap and it's two more. West Indies two away!
Mukesh Kumar to Alzarri Joseph, 1 run, yorker on the off stump, Alzarri digs it out to long-on, Akeal Hosein collides with Mukesh Kumar as he tries to take the run, hops to the other end
Mukesh Kumar to Alzarri Joseph, SIX, pulled away nicely over mid-wicket, lands just inside the rope. Harmless short of length delivery, Alzarri Joseph pulls over mid-wicket. Zoomer in to see if it landed directly on the boundary cushion. Third ump taking his time because every run counts as the chase is tight. And he reckons that's landed on the rope!
Mukesh Kumar to Akeal Hosein, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Akeal cuts square of the wicket on the off-side
