England won by 85 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Joe Root
That brings us to the end of this mini series. England now split and disburse. Ireland meanwhile have a few more games at home to strengthen their claim for a Test status. We, having brought you all the action, head home. This is Vineet Anantharaman signing off on behalf of Sriram. Ta ta!!
Joe Root, Man of the Match: The wickets gave me more pleasure than the runs. It is a great position to be in where there are guys who can contribute with the ball if needed. It was a slower start than I would have liked this season but it was nice playing a few games for Yorkshire before this one. Everything is a stepping stone to the Champions Trophy. The series against South Africa will put us under pressure and it would be important to see how the guys respond.
Morgan: Bristol was a more convincing win. This one was pretty different. From losing a couple of early wickets, Joe and me rebuilt well. But we weren't clinical. One of us should have gone on to get a century. The boys playing continue to give us headaches. The ones on the bench continue to give us a lot of competition which is very good. Some guys go back to play county games, a couple of us go back to the IPL and we have three games against South Africa to prepare as well. Wood came back strongly after his injury and that is another positive for us. The wicket wasn't quite conducive to Rashid's form of bowling.
Porterfield: I thought we were much improved today. We put a lot of things right today that we wanted to. The first half was pretty good with the ball. If we had a couple of wickets towards the end, things could could have been different. Plenty of credit to Barry and Chase, they came back hard today. Credit goes to Bairstow and Rashid with the way they played in the end. Especially after Friday, it could have been easy for us to hide away. But we game back hard in this game and stretched it all the way. We've taken things forward from the last one to this and we need to carry it forward for the next four games as well.
A win by 85 runs. Two convincing victories to bully their smaller neighbours. Ireland were pretty much in the hunt with Stirling striking it clean in the first ten overs. But the mountain to be scaled was a touch too steep for the inexperienced bats to follow. The skipper did his best hanging around with a defiant 82, but with no sort of support coming in from the other end, it was only a matter of time before it all folded out. A welcome headache for the English selectors meanwhile, with Bairstow too striking form. And how. In the bigger picture, it is his knock that pulled the contest out of the reach of the Irish. Hang in there for the presentations..
Mark Wood to Dockrell, out Bowled!! Cleans it up. Making a mess of the stumps. In the process. A furious yorker, right at the base of the sticks. Too good for Dockrell, who plays all around it and takes his foot out of the way to watch the stumps splattered all around. A very convincing way for the English to seal the deal. They take the game. And the series. Dockrell b Mark Wood 28(30) [4s-2 6s-1]
Mark Wood to Dockrell, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Plunkett to Chase, no run, blobs it with a push into the off-side
Plunkett to Dockrell, 1 run, follows a walking away bat with a short bumper. Mis-pulled on the bounce to deep square leg
Plunkett to Chase, 1 run, on the fuller side again. But slightly wider. Poked off the outside half of the bat through point
Plunkett to Chase, no run, in the blockhole. Just about manages to jam the bat down in keeping it away from the sticks
Plunkett to Chase, FOUR, frustration. Too much of the width and Chase doesn't let the opportunity of swinging his arms go waste. Gets the outside edge flying through the cordon
Plunkett to Chase, wide, sharp bouncer. Not the direction though. High and slipping down leg as well
Plunkett to Dockrell, 1 run, targetting the stumps off a good length. A backing away slap to mid-off
