That is it from the second ODI between West Indies and Ireland. Ireland have squared the series and the series is still alive. We will see ya soon with more cricketing action. Stay safe!

Paul Stirling: It means a lot. We are delighted how the lads have responded. We are delighted to get the win. Just got a good grab (about taking a good catch today). McBrine got the rewards for being accurate. Young bowled really well. He used to take the new ball not too long ago. Harry has been in world class form. He has been backing up his performances. And he is only going to get better in five years time. Look, we ask for consistency. We have lots to improve on. The last 10 overs of the bowling innings, we can finish better. I have said enough about the bubbles (smiles).

Kieron Pollard: After we won the first game, we knew the toss will be a massive factor. The techniques will be tested. In both the games, we have lost wickets in the first 20 overs. Personally as a batter we need to find a way out. We need to take stock and don't put up excuses. Special mention to Odean Smith and Romario Shepherd, they showed amazing hunger. We need to put the pieces of the puzzle together as far as the batting is concerned. All to play for on sunday!

Andy McBrine, Man of the Match: The injury is fine. I was a little shaken up. I have 24 hours and should be fine. There was enough in the pitch for me to attack the batters. We talked about in the last game, we need partnerships. With the left arm spinner in the attack, it was time for me to put the pressure back. We have stuck it as a group during these tough times.

So, Ireland make it 1-1 with a little aid of rain. Earlier in the day, Ireland did really well with the ball to create massive inroads. Windies were reduced to 143 for 8 before the Smith-Shepherd show. Smith played a whirlwind cameo where as Shepherd farmed strike during the final wicket partnership to hand Windies 229 runs. Ireland got off the blocks quickly but timely strikes proved to be roadblocks. The run rate never became a factor and it seemed, Ireland will reach home with overs to spare. But the heavens opened up during the 32nd over of the chase with the score reading 157 for 4. The rains almost never relented but then towards the fag end, it did disappear and Ireland were set a revised target of 168 from 36 overs. That formality was completed and Ireland made it 1-1...Hang on for the presentation ceremony.

Pollard to Dockrell, out Caught by Pooran!! The short ball has done it. The ball got big on the batter and hit the upper half of the bat to spoon up. The man at square leg went back a few paces and despite a little bobble, Pooran managed to latch on to it. Dockrell wanted to finish it off with a single hit but was unable to.
