Bangladesh have a 1-0 lead with a game to go now. Teams will be back on Sunday here for the final ODI. The weather looks better than today and the pitch surely should be in good condition for a cracker of a game like today. It was fun today. Let's hope both teams put on a good game for us again. Happy weekend!
Tamim Iqbal | Bangladesh captain: Wherever you are playing in England the support is unbelievable. I still remember in 2017 at the Oval against England our supporters outnumbered theirs and their motivation always plays a huge role. The ground size and dimensions today were much better. Very very pleased with the way Shanto and Hridoy batted. I'm really pleased with the way Towhid is playing, not only in this series but also back home. He has a long way to go, if he can continue like this, then it will certainly be gold for us. I want you to bring some warm weather [to Alan Wilkins who asked Tamim to bring some warm weather for the next game].
Andy Balbirnie | Ireland captain: It's a hard one to pinpoint, We have to sit down and look at it tomorrow. We got enough runs but with a ground like this small dimensions and credit to Bangladesh to chase that down. We did a lot of good stuff. We took a couple of early wickets which helped but looking back maybe we were a few short. Certainly can't fault the way the batters played. One of the better knocks from Harry in ODI cricket and a pleasure to be a part of and to see. He is getting better and better and we are lucky to have him. They are a top-class international team. We knew coming into the series we had to be very good to beat them, we were good today but not good enough.
Najmul Hossain Shanto | PoTM: My first hundred, so I am very happy and feeling very nice. I think (Towhid) Hridoy batted really well, the intent he showed helped my batting. It's pretty cold here, but we can't control the conditions and we got to focus on our game. (Crowd support) We didn't feel that we are outside Bangladesh, we feel like playing at home. Thanks to the crowd for coming, hopefully they will continue to support us like this.
20:50 Local Time, 19:50 GMT, 01:20 IST: Bangladesh all smiles after holding their nerve. This got closer than it should have for them though. Unbelievable platform set by Shanto and Hridoy with a 131-run stand for the 4th wicket. Shanto batted like a dream timing the ball sweetly to all corners, Hridoy used his wrists to great effect for an aggressive fifty. Ireland managed to claw back with some wickets towards the end, but Rahim ensured he got his side over the line. He did have two close shaves - one with a run-out when the bail wasn't fully off the groove, then with a catch off a no-ball. This could have gone so wrong if that catch wasn't a no-ball. Rain delay, slightly shortened match, but the cricket was high quality. Stay tuned for the presentations...
Mark Adair to Mushfiqur, FOUR, free-hit, he can't be out caught so he puts on a brave, calculated face and scoops this short delivery over the keeper's head. Mark Adair thought he could dig this in and force a single or so, but Rahim moved across and scooped it, actually managed to send it to the third man fence
Mark Adair to Mushfiqur, no ball, it was a short ball at the Chinnaswamy in 2016, it is a full toss here in Chelmsford in 2023, but Rahim is still hitting those to hands with team in touching distance. Bangladesh fans will be crying "hit them along the ground in gaps please." He is very, very lucky that this was just above the waist. Would have been out caught otherwise. Free-hit coming up now
Rahim caught but was it above the waist? Long chat between the umps and they have asked the third ump to check. Oh this is tricky It's above the waist, but the batter is crouching. No ball it will be
Mark Adair to Mushfiqur, no run, oh what a stunning middle and leg yorker, Rahim digs it out. Could have taken a run but that will expose Shoriful Islam for the bowler
Mid-off in, is he still going to bowl full? Now they have pushed him back
Mark Adair to Mushfiqur, no run, stays round the wicket and bowls a full delivery, Rahim drives and finds mid-off. No risky runs says Rahim and rightly so. Need to play this over
5 needed off 6. The game is in Bangladesh's bag. They just need to close it. Can Adair force a false stroke and get Rahim?

Joshua Little to Mushfiqur, 1 run, slower ball into the wicket, no rash heave from Rahim, just a gentle pull to backward square leg and keep strike
Joshua Little to Shoriful Islam, byes, 1 run, play and miss, oh dear, Tucker! The ball got stuck in his glove and the throw lobbed to the bowler as he tried to stop them from stealing a bye. Lot of time for Rahim to sneak home
Joshua Little to Shoriful Islam, no run, slower delivery into the wicket, Shoriful slogs and misses. This is interesting
Joshua Little to Shoriful Islam, FOUR, ohh what a response! All that talk of getting Rahim back on strike and Shoriful clear his front leg out and smacks it over the bowler's head. Surely Joshua Little wasn't expecting that. It came off, so it looks good, but if this had the stumps dancing, Bangladesh would have been in serious pressure. Maybe Rahim wanted Shoriful to fancy his arm
Shoriful Islam, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Joshua Little to Taijul Islam, out Lbw!! That is right in front the stumps and good of Taijul and Rahim not to waste time on the review. Taijul moved across, tried the flick and missed. Joshua Little bowled a simple straight ball but the target was middle stump and that was plumb. Can he get one more now and put pressure on Bangladesh? Credit to Taijul for hanging around with Rahim to take this game close than slogging. Taijul Islam lbw b Joshua Little 9(13)
Joshua Little to Taijul Islam, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!
Joshua Little to Mushfiqur, 1 run, mistimed guide to third man, Ireland have Rahim off strike. they won't mind!
