16:25 local: And that's that. The game has been called off due to persistent rain. Such a pity for the Netherlands. It was set up nicely for a good game of cricket after South Africa scored 277 in the first innings thanks to a fine 95 from Kyle Verreynne but sadly rain has had the final say. Once it starts raining in the Highveld, it always pours and the clouds opened up 2 overs into the Netherlands innings. So the ICC World Cup Super League points will be shared for this game. Still no clarity on Sunday's ODI. Our man Telford Vice from South Africa will have all the updates regarding that on this platform. Do check out. Till next time, this is a goodbye from everyone here, stay safe and take care.
16:20 local: Still waiting for the rain to stop, so that we could think of a resumption. Things getting bleaker by the minute.
Meanwhile in Centurion, it is still drizzling and puddles are starting to form on the outfield. Even if the rain stops, will take some time for the ground to be ready.
15:30 local: Here's the official statement from Cricket South Africa and Netherlands Cricket Board on the status of the remaining ODIs: Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) are aware of news reports doing the rounds regarding the Netherlands tour to South Africa being cancelled or postponed. Both boards can confirm that following updated information, it is highly unlikely that the visiting team will be able to fly out of South Africa over the weekend. The KNCB is reviewing all of its options, while prioritising the physical and mental well-being of its players. A decision on the continuation of the series will follow in the next 24 to 48 hours, while all flight options are being considered. No other comment will be offered until a definite resolution has been reached.
14:55 local: It is absolutely pelting down in Centurion. That's the latest from the venue.
14:25 local: The rain is coming down harder in Centurion and we could be in for a longer delay here.
There is a bit of lightning around and the covers have been called in. They are anticipating rain and hence go off. Play has been stopped! The covers are coming in ever so slowly. So, the rain isn't heavy but it looks very dark. Looks like we might be in for a long haul. The umbrellas have gone up in numbers now.

Parnell to Max ODowd, no run, slips that down on to the pads and Max ODowd misses the clip. The ball goes off the pads and into the gloves. There was a half-hearted appeal but they opt not to review it. Sounded more off the pads and hence the appeal wasn't a strong one
It is very dark!
Parnell to Max ODowd, no run, poky push outside off as the length was dragged back a little and Max ODowd gets beaten outside off
Parnell to Max ODowd, FOUR, second boundary for Max ODowd as he drives an over-pitched delivery into the off-side. The bat face opened a little and went square off the wicket
