Teja Nidamanuru, Player of the Match: The team make up is such, me batting at 7 gives the right balance to the side. You dream about moments like these. That doesn't happen often, so I'm proud and happy, feeling awesome. We were trying to build a partnership, that was the game plan. We were looking to be positive, we were trying to take it as deep as possible. Masakadza bowled extremely well. I think they bowled really well, but happy we came out on top.
Edwards: That was a thrilling game, wasn't it? The way Teja and Shariz batted, we had a bit of faith. We got the momentum in the last 10 overs. Even Colin batted well. They (fast bowlers) need a bit of juice in the wicket, and they can bowl well. Awesome win to start the series, looking forward to the next game.
Craig Ervine: I thought Netherlands used those conditions to get early wickets, but it was a great innings by Clive Madande. There was some extra bounce, but the wicket did get slightly better. I thought we could tighten up things with the bowling attack we had, but credit to Teja for that knock. If you drop catches, it's going to hurt you. Hopefully we put up a better performance in the field in the next game.
16:44 Local Time, 14:44 GMT, 20:14 IST: The boy from Andhra Pradesh - Teja Nidamanuru has done it for Netherlands. Just like the first innings where Zimbabwe recovered from 98/7 to post a formidable total of 249, things have panned out exactly in a similar way in the second innings in Harare. What a knock by Teja Nidamanuru, take a bow! The Dutch looked down and out when they were reduced to 64/5 in the 21st over, but the lower-middle order batters have played exceptionally well to win this. Ackermann departed immediately after scoring a fifty, but Nidamanuru kept the Dutch hopes alive. Along with Shariz Ahmad, he had a brilliant 110-run partnership and made sure the visitors get closer to the target. Shariz was unfortunately run-out in the 47th over, but van Meekeren walked out to bat next, played a cameo and made sure Dutch got over the line. Zimbabwe's fielding was terrible as they put down several catches, so they don't have anyone else but themselves to blame. Stay around for the presentations..
Brad Evans to van Meekeren, SIX, Netherlands have won the last-over thriller! A short ball by Brad Evans and van Meekeren pulls this over deep square leg as the ball clears the boundary. What a fine end to the run chase as van Meekeren roars out loud. Gives his partner a big hug as Netherlands have bounced back from no where to get over the line
Brad Evans to Nidamanuru, 1 run, touch fuller on off, Nidamanuru drives it to mid-off and takes a single. Just 1 required from 2 balls now
Brad Evans to Nidamanuru, no run, yorker length ball by Brad Evans, Nidamanuru squeezes it back to the bowler
Evans stops in his delivery stride and warns the non-striker to not leave the crease
Brad Evans to van Meekeren, 1 run, dropped at cover by Ballance! van Meekeren smashes this short ball towards cover, but the fielder stationed there puts it down. Just 2 runs required now
Brad Evans to Nidamanuru, 1 run, yorker length ball on off, Nidamanuru digs it towards cover for a single
Brad Evans [5.0-0-21-1] is back into the attack
