And that's all from our side. A thrilling series that came to the final game, but then the class of Zimbabwe powered them through. Netherlands travel further south now to take on South Africa in their final games of the World Cup qualifier, while Zimbabwe enjoy a well deserved break. Hope you guys are enjoying your well deserved weekend break as well. Take care and take rest, bye for now!!
Craig Ervine steps back to the stage, this time followed by his teammates to collect the trophy. Ryan Burl pops open a cold one as the Zimbabwe players celebrate. All smiles and cheers in the host camp, the crowd is still as loud as ever. A rare and memorable home series win for them to enjoy.
Craig Ervine | Zimbabwe captain: Certainly delighted. Pulled the game back nicely after 10 overs with the spin and restricted to a total that was chaseable. Nice to start well in the chase, that partnership between me and Wes was key to settle the nerves and take the pressure off the middle-order. Nice to see Wessly back in the wickets, happy to see some guys back in the runs. Everyone is putting their hand up. We still have some work to do, our fielding has been under par in this series. We now have a break where hopefully we can iron out a few of those issues before the World Cup qualifiers.
Sean Williams | Player of the Match and Player of the Series: It's a nice feeling as a team, and nice to do what I'm supposed to be doing in this team. I think we need just one guy to bowl well. Our spinners bowled well to restrict them to 230, and then it was one big partnership we needed. Came down with a flu and had a finger injury, but blessed to score some runs. Our main goal now is to play well in those World Qualifiers and book that ticket for the World Cup.
Scott Edwards | Netherlands captain: Maybe not enough runs. We thought we had enough but they batted well, credit to them. (On 2nd ODI) It was obviously one of those games, but saying that we fought back in the first game and won a game we shouldn't have. We've performed pretty well in all three disciplines. Straight into the South Africa series, hopefully we can seal a game or two over there.
Both captains also being presented with a token of appreciation to celebrate the first series played between them.
Aleem Dar is presented with a commemorative token for officiating 225 ODIs.
15:49 Local Time, 13:49 GMT, 19:19 IST: Joyous scenes in Harare as Zimbabwe win the series 2-1. They have easily chased down 231. The openers - Madhevere and Ervine laid the base with a 96-run stand before two quick wickets from Shariz Ahmad gave Netherlands hope. But Gary Ballance and Sean Williams ended any of that with a 96-run stand for the third wicket. The end came quite quickly as Ballance and Raza finished it off with boundaries. On a good batting wicket, it was the Zimbabwean bowlers who deserve credit as they restricted Netherlands to a below-par total. And once Netherlands did not get early wickets, it was always going to be tough. What will hurt Netherlands more is their loss in the 2nd ODI when they allowed a winning position slip. Therefore the series was lost when easily it could have been the other way around. Stay tuned for the presentation...
Shariz Ahmad to Raza, FOUR, was a wide had he left it outside off, but Raza gets across and flat-bats the length delivery over mid-off. Ends it in style
Shariz Ahmad to Gary Ballance, 1 run, full outside off, driven to sweeper cover and the scores are level
Shariz Ahmad to Gary Ballance, FOUR, flighted delivery outside off, Gary Ballance slogsweeps over mid-on and again hit well and just 2 needed now
Shariz Ahmad round the wicket - scratch, he is back over the wicket
Shariz Ahmad to Gary Ballance, FOUR, tossed up on the stumps, Gary Ballance gets forward and heaves over mid-wicket, one bounce over the ropes
