IRE VS SCO - 3rd T20I, Netherlands T20I Tri-Series, 2024

Ireland vs Scotland

Match abandoned due to rain (no toss)

Reason for the early call-off: Both umpires feel that the ground is not safe enough to get a game on. The outfield has taken plenty of water and add to that, the drizzle is quite steady with lurking gloomy skies. With the T20 World Cup round the corner, both umpires weren't ready to take any risk with respect to the ICC guidelines. That is all from us for today. See you!!

17:09 local, 15:09 GMT, 20:39 IST: Whoops! Not the news we have been waiting for. Game abandoned. "Alas, the weather has won the day. The two captains shake hands and the game is abandoned" is the latest update from Cricket Ireland. Both teams share a point each and, thankfully, the weather looks pretty promising on Thursday. Do remember to join us then for Scotland vs Netherlands. Same place, same time. Until then, cheers and goodbye!!

16:33 Local Time, 14:33 GMT, 20:03 IST: Uh-oh! Unfortunately, the entire square has been under covers for now due to morning showers. The umpires have scheduled an inspection at 17:00 local. Fingers crossed for a positive update...

16:15 local, 14:15 GMT: Hello and a warm welcome to the 3rd game of the Netherlands T20I tri-series. We witnessed Ireland seal a thriller yesterday, and they will be keen to make it 2/2 today as they face Scotland who dropped their first game to hosts, Netherlands, by 41 runs. Quite interestingly, both games so far have been won by the team that lost the toss. The surface appeared a bit-two paced and seemed to offer a bit of help for the new ball bowlers as well. Will the captains still look to bowl first? Let's see what happens at the toss...
