They fall short by 3 runs in the end to finish last in this tri-series. Chasing 162, the opening pair of Levitt and O'Dowd put on 67 to set a brilliant platform at the top. O'Dowd, in particular, was fluent from the start and looked like he would take the hosts over the line as he played superbly for 60 off 41 balls. However, his dismissal in the 16th over and some good bowling at the death from Ireland pegged Netherlands back. Adair struck twice in the 18th over in which he gave away just 6 runs, while McCarthy and Young executed well enough in the 19th and 20th overs to seal the win.
