Australia won by 116 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : David Warner
A commanding win for Australia and they've already sealed the series 2-0 with a game to go. The final ODI is at the MCG on Friday and New Zealand will want to show that they're a much better team than this. We might also see some changes with the fate of this series already decided. Do join us for it. That's all we have for today. This is Sagar Chawla signing off on behalf of Akshay Maanay and Krishna. Cheers!
Smith: I thought 330-340 was par. 380 was a big total. You need a lot of things to go right chasing such a big total. Warner set the tone at the start. Marsh played well at the end and Head played well again. I was going to bat. Generally a good ground to bat first on. The wicket can get abrasive and the ball can reverse at night. It's really exciting. Cummins came back well tonight. Tonight he switched it on, bowled at good pace, was smart with his plans. He's an exciting prospect. Want to end the series well. It's been a long time that we've won a series.
Williamson: They played very well. The perfect performance really. It was tough to come back from, chasing 380 is very tough to chase. They bowled very well too. If we knew they are going to get 380 then yes [whether he'd have batted first in retrospect]. If we could have taken wickets in the end overs, we could have restricted them to a total which was par. He should be okay [talking about Neesham's injury]. We have a pretty young side, it's a fantastic experience. Lots to learn from this trip. Death overs have hurt us. With the bat, we have to take partnerships deeper.
Warner: It was a fantastic wicket, always is here at Manuka. We know that if we keep wickets in hand, big runs are always on the cards later. That was the key, bat big and keep wickets in hand. The way Marsh finished it off was amazing. Early on I wasn't hitting it as well as I would have liked. But it's about getting into your innings. The other day I played a lazy stroke. Today I wanted to knuckle down. Always good to bat with Smith. We know each other's game so well. This format I thought was probably not my greatest. This year has been fantastic and I want to keep going as well as I can.

21:20 Local Time, 11:20 GMT, 16:50 IST: New Zealand have been thoroughly outclassed in the two games. Basically, they've been batted out on both occasions. Today was an even stronger batting effort from Australia. After Warner-Smith laid the foundation with a big partnership, the middle order capitalized with some breathtaking pyrotechnics to put the game beyond New Zealand's reach. It would have taken something really special to achieve the target. Guptill sparkled at the top but couldn't sustain the effort. Williamson-Neesham started slowly but shifted gears nicely to inspire some hope - as little as it may have been. Post Neesham's departure though, things unraveled pretty quickly. Starc was brilliant with the old ball. So was Cummins. Head chipped in with handy overs through the middle period and to be frank, the result was never in doubt.
Faulkner to Watling, out Caught by Warner!! That's it. Australia reclaim the Chappell-Hadlee trophy. Another slower ball, Watling goes down on one-knee for a big hoick but all he does is slice it up behind extra-cover where Warner jogs backward for a good grab. Watling c Warner b Faulkner 17(22) [4s-2]
Faulkner to Watling, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Faulkner to Watling, no run, slower ball on a good length on middle, Watling makes room to steer to backward point
James Faulkner [8.0-0-69-1] is back into the attack

Hazlewood to Boult, no run, clears the front leg and flat-bats the length ball to mid-off
Hazlewood to Boult, no run, nearly in the blockhole, Boult makes room and squeezes it out to short cover
Hazlewood to Watling, 1 run, shuffles across trying to swipe it across the line, is late on the shot and skews it off the splice towards short fine leg
Hazlewood to Watling, no run, full outside off, driven to cover
Hazlewood to Watling, FOUR, carved over extra-cover! Lovely shot. Watling doesn't have much to gain but runs are runs
Hazlewood to Boult, 1 run, big swing across the line of a fullish ball, gets an inside edge and a seriously good stop from Wade diving to his left. Watling is off for a single. Boult doesn't think he's in danger and is guilty of ball watching. Wade shies at the bowler's end but misses
Josh Hazlewood [8.0-1-36-2] is back into the attack

P Cummins to Boult, 1 run, this is a clever ball. A slower yorker which dips on Boult but he picks it up and defends into the mid-wicket region. Cummins is done for the night. High-fives with some of his mates. Good day in the office
P Cummins to Boult, no run, back of a length delivery outside off, Boult steers to point
P Cummins to Boult, no run, right in the blockhole. Cummins striving for that five-for. But Trent Boult denies him this time
