That concludes the presentation ceremony and our coverage. We'll be back Thursday for the second ODI - same venue, same time. See you then, it's a wrap for now from me, Saurabh, on behalf of Ramakrishnan MS and Mukesh.
Cameron Green | Man of the Match: A little bit tired and sore, but got a couple of days off. Credit to Zampa to finish it off, he stuck around. Groin, calf, hamstring and forearm all gone at the moment, but should be fine for the next game. Carey batted beautifully, I was just trying to hang on from the other end. (On first 50) Nice to get that monkey off the back now, hopefully there will be many more now.
Kane Williamson: Game ebbed and flowed on a tricky surface. We knew we were below par, gave it our all with the ball with that kind of start. But credit to Cam Green and Carey, we were one delivery away from breaking that partnership, but they were too good. We tried to break that partnership, but we couldn’t. It is good to see us adjusting to this surface, slightly different from what we are used to over here.
Aaron Finch: The chase was a lot closer than it should have been, but credit to the boys for that partnership. It's not ideal to be starting games like this, but that can happen when you're against a player like Trent Boult. (On Cam Green) He's a bit sore and tired with both calves, both groins, both hamstrings and forearm, but he should be fine with some rest. Credit to the way he stepped up today.
There was a bit of a hiccup later on, as Lockie Ferguson picked up the wickets of Carey and Starc in quick succession, with Boult coming back to dismiss Maxwell cheaply. However, Cameron Green held his nerve and Adam Zampa proved to be no welterweight, as he played a few adventurous shots of his own to ensure Australia got over the line with five overs to spare. New Zealand will find it difficult to believe that they have let this slip, but can't take anything away from Green and Carey's partnership. Stick around for the presentations.
22:13 Local Time, 12:13 GMT, 17:43 IST: What a low scoring thriller to start off this Trans-Tasman series. Australia started off poor, as Trent Boult trapped Aaron Finch in just his second over. The swinging ball caused problems for all of Australia's top order, as Smith, Labuschagne, Warner all fell cheaply. Things got even worse when Stoinis knocked over by Henry to leave the hosts at 44/5 shortly after the first powerplay. But then out walked Cameron Green to join Alex Carey, and the duo batted, and batted, and batted! They stitched together Australia's highest sixth wicket partnership against NZ, as Williamson and Co. haplessly watched a game going out of their grasps.
Ferguson to Zampa, wide, tame end! Slower bounce that goes down the leg side and Australia will win with that extra. What a heist they have managed to pull off!

Santner to Zampa, 1 run, fired fuller, pushed onto the leg side and a misfield from mid-wicket means that scores are level!
Santner to Zampa, 2 runs, length ball outside off, tapped to the left of sweeper cover and Zampa was always sure that he'll run two. The throw was at the wrong end, and a limping Cameron Green also gets through for the second
22:07 Local Time, 12:07 GMT, 17:37 IST: What a party pooper! Rain all of a sudden and players are ushered off the field. The pitch is being covered quickly. Looks like a passing shower though, the NZ players didn't even leave the field and now the Aussie batters are being called back. We will play this game to a conlusion!
Santner to Zampa, FOUR, wow! Even the players from the stands have a bit of a laugh about that one, Zampa whole heartedly slogs one over deep mid-wicket. It was in the slot for him, and he decides to free his arms, and free some nerves in the dressing room. Australia are 4 runs away but it has started to rain out of nowhere!
Santner to Green, 1 run, short and wide, cut towards the sweeper. Australia continue to chip away!
Santner to Zampa, 1 run, short on off, punched off the backfoot towards sweeper cover
Santner to Zampa, no run, pitched up on middle, defended back to the bowler
Green is down again and the physio is back out. The problem may have been genuine, he has been running gingerly between wickets this over as well after playing that pull shot again Ferguson. But he's a warrior, he's surely bat on even if it's on one limb!

Ferguson to Zampa, 1 run, on a length outside off, Zampa hangs his bat out towards deep point and they take the single
Ferguson to Zampa, no run, what was the need? Full just outside off, Zampa shuffles away to play the inside out shot. Connects with thin air, totally needless shot, lucky to be spared!
Ferguson to Green, 1 run, length ball around the hips, slapped towards fine leg by Green. He's trusting Zampa for two balls against Ferguson
Ferguson to Green, no run, pitched up on off, driven straight towards mid-off
Ferguson to Green, FOUR, perfect from Green! Back of a length and too close to his body, he picks it up to pull behind square. Well to the left of fine leg and four more!
