If you're a Bangladesh supporter, these are unprecedented times. Winning against the Trans-Tasman boys in successive series, even if at home, is definitely a feather in the cap for the Tigers. The nature of the pitches may take some sheen off these results but that said, there isn't much the players could have done about these tracks. For now, it's party time in the Bangladesh camp and they'll be keen to finish the series on a high. New Zealand will be disappointed but with a second-string side in these extreme conditions, they haven't done too badly. Do join us for the final game of the series on 10th September. Until then, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav and Naga. Cheers!
Mahmudullah: I think the bowlers did a great job once again, keeping them to a low total. It was a good total to chase. Credit to all the bowlers, especially Nasum and Mustafizur. The batters tried their heart out, just needed a good partnership in the middle, me and Naim did that. Afif also got himself in. The plan was to just work in small partnerships and take it deep. Credit to the team management and the boys. The hunger was there to win the game and seal the series today. One more opportunity to win a game for Bangladesh, work on areas to improve and perform better.
Nasum Ahmed | Player of the Match: It feels great to win the series and I feel really happy. My skipper told me to back my strengths, dry the runs and that's what I did. There was turn in the pitch, so I didn't worry about variations, just stuck to the basics.
Tom Latham: We were probably a bit under-par. We were looking at around the 110 mark but ended up a bit light. Credit to how Bangladesh batted. We got early wickets but they had it under control. We spoke that if we bowled well, it could be a competitive score. They had a couple of partnerships and Mahmudullah finished it off for them. Getting it to the last over is a positive. Young played a good innings. He stuck out there and managed to get us to a competitive score but it wasn't quite enough. We are a young group, not a lot of international cricket experience and not a lot of us have been here before. Good to take the learnings forward.
19:19 Local Time, 13:19 GMT, 18:49 IST: Not too long ago, they beat Australia for the first time and now, Bangladesh have registered their maiden bilateral series win over New Zealand in the shortest format. Of course, both had second-string sides but you can only play what is in front of you. 94 was never going to be a threatening-enough target but the Black Caps did squeeze well, also aided by some poor shots from Bangladesh's top order. Skipper Mahmudullah batted all the way through and ensured that his team got across the line with five balls to spare. There was a massive moment in Ajaz's final over when the Bangladesh skipper offered a stumping chance, only for his counterpart to mess it up. How different would things have been if that was taken? We'll never know. For now, Bangladesh will celebrate and rightly so.
McConchie to Mahmudullah, FOUR, Mahmudullah seals Bangladesh's maiden T20I series win over New Zealand, in style! Gets one in the slot, shuffles across a bit and hammers it through mid-wicket with a meaty slog sweep. FIst-pumps in joy. Elation in the hosts' camp
Cole McConchie [3.0-0-30-1] is back into the attack
Just two more needed. One hit away.

2-0-13-0
Tickner to Mahmudullah, 1 run, full and straight, driven down to long-on
Tickner to Afif Hossain, 1 run, Afif comes charging down, misses the pull, under-edge onto the pad and it trickles towards square leg
Mandatory concussion protocol being followed. Good news is that Afif does seem alright.
Tickner to Afif Hossain, no run, gets a crashing blow on the helmet! This is a really slow pitch, so Tickner has put in a lot of effort on this bouncer. Well-directed and Afif tried to fend it by hopping a bit, fails to do so and cops a blow on his head gear. Must have shaken him up a bit
Tickner to Mahmudullah, 1 run, makes room and slashes it hard, slicing away towards third man. One bounce to the fielder
Tickner to Mahmudullah, no run, very full and wide, near-yorker, Mahmudullah can't get his bat down in time
Tickner to Mahmudullah, SIX, Mahmudullah with the killer blow! As mentioned, Bangladesh would have wanted just the one boundary even though singles were enough. This is a slot ball from Tickner, Mahmudullah gets hold of it and clobbers it with power over cow corner. That deflates any minor hopes NZ would have had of snaring a heist
Blair Tickner [1.0-0-4-0] is back into the attack
So, 11 more needed off 12 balls. Continues to hover around that run-a-ball mark or thereabouts. Singles should do it for Bangladesh but they'd still want one boundary from here to ease their nerves a bit.

Hamish Bennett

Bennett to Mahmudullah, 1 run, comes charging down, sees the length shortened and pulls it with control to deep square leg
Bennett to Mahmudullah, 2 runs, this is superb running! Shorter again, Mahmudullah works this in front of square leg this time and by the time the deep fielder gets to the ball, they get back for the second. Mahmudullah puts in the dive to get through although the throw was anyway wide
Samit: Teams are not even crossing 100 and chasing teams are finding it extremely difficult to chase even that. This is happening way to regularly in T20 cricket. These pitches remove the entertainment T20 cricket was made for.
Bennett to Afif Hossain, 1 run, short of a length with width outside off, punched off the back foot to sweeper cover
