That's all from this 4-match T20I series folks! It ends in a tie. We have a couple of days off, and we'll be back with the live coverage of 4-match ODI series between these teams, starting on Friday (September 8th) - do join us for the live coverage of the same. For now, it's a goodbye from our side. Good night and take care!
Moeen Ali | ENG captain: We just lost momentum, they bowled well, so obviously I'm disappointed. If we had batted well, we could have scored runs, but we couldn't grab that momentum (after that kind of start.) We have good players, it's all about winning. I thought Wood bowled really well in the powerplay, but disappointed it (series score) was 2-2 in the end.
Tim Southee | NZ captain: I think the side has known what we have been all about. We have played like we know to play in the last two games (after losing the first two games.) They (England) got off to a great start, but we kept picking wickets that kept us alive in the game. Our spinners (Santner and Sodhi) bowled well and restricted them. We'll travel and rest, a few new faces come into the one-day team, exciting times ahead.
Jonny Bairstow | PoTS: I am fine, it's (didin't keep) one of those precautionary measures. It's been a while since I have played white-ball cricket, I don't think I have timed the ball that well (in this series.) I have played run-a-ball initially and accelerated later in the innings. That's one of the biggest things I think. You need to catch up, you need to keep that on the back of the mind. You need to run hard and find the gaps to be honest. The ankle has been good, hope I continue to be alright as long as I can.
Mitchell Santner | PoTM: We knew the powerplay was the best time to bat. Ish (Sodhi) bowled well and he was backed up by the seamers. The wickets (in this series) have been flat, they have played well, but nothing much has changed throughout the series.
20:59 Local Time, 19:59 GMT, 01:29 IST: New Zealand - 2 | England - 2. After losing two successive matches at the start of the series, New Zealand have done extremely well to bounce back and level the 4-match T20I series by a 2-2 margin. Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips helped them stay alive in the series as they played pivotal knocks in the third T20I, while Seifert, Phillips and Chapman did majority of the scoring in the run chase today in order to get the Kiwis over the line. Not to forget the pivotal spell by Santner as the spinner took three wickets and restricted the hosts to such a gettable total earlier. In short, it was a collective effort from New Zealand as they go into the ODIs on a winning note. Stay around for the presentations..
