New Zealand won by 31 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Glenn Phillips

And that concludes the presentations. New Zealand with a much more clinical win today than the ODIs, aided primarily by some very good pace bowling and a superb knock by Glenn Phillips in their middle order. Just a day's break before these two sides do it all again at the same venue on Wednesday. See you then, it's a wrap for now. Take care!
Mitch Santner, New Zealand captain: It wasn't easy but the way Glenn played, the composure he showed was great. It is about trying to build partnerships in the middle, giving the bowlers plenty to work for at the death. The way Neesham and Glenn played was helpful on a niggly wicket. This Irish team is pretty good, they gave us a good fight in the ODI series and played well today as well. Lockie (Ferguson) did well, we aren't very keen to play him in the nets but today on a sluggish pitch he showed how good he is with his change of pace, with those leg cutters.
Andrew Balbirnie, Ireland captain: We started pretty well, had a good powerplay. They batted well in the last 10 and set an above par score. We didn't bat well in our powerplay, and a bit of a shame about how it finished. We got a couple of good partnerships in the middle, but nothing substantial.
Glenn Phillips, Man of the Match: It was good after a tough start, we recovered really well. 170 when we thought 150 would be par was really good. Games that are a bit tough are always rewarding
19:29 Local Time, 18:29 GMT, 23:59 IST: The first real convincing victory for New Zealand on this tour. Ireland in all fairness were never in this chase. Although they kept up with the scoring rate for the bulk of their innings, they just kept losing wickets. The experience of Ferguson, Santner and Neesham too good for Ireland, as they accounted for 8 wickets amongst themselves and put a spanner in the works of the hosts every time a partnership was beginning to build. Campher stood firm in the middle overs and Mark Adair played an attractive cameo at the death, but ultimately the target was too steep. Ireland bowled out with 10 balls to spare, a pretty formidable win for the visitors.
Ferguson to Young, out Caught by Cleaver!! A lovely short delivery at a good pace that chases the batter, just tickles a bit of the glove as it goes through to the keeper. Young couldn't drop his bat down in time. Ireland reviewed for the sake of it, but that will be the game! Young c Cleaver b Ferguson 1(4)

Jacob Duffy to Young, no run, pitched fuller and angling into leg stump to strike the pads. A loud appeal for LBW but it will stray down the leg side. NZ burn a review
