Pakistan take a 1-0 lead. It was a good toss to win, and they made good use of it, being clinical in all departments. Also a debut to remember for Usama Mir who got rid of Williamson with an absolute ripper. So that's all from here. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Babar: Utilised the new ball well, fast bowlers executed plans. Ball wasn't coming on in the first innings. Credit to the pacers who built pressure in the first 15 overs, and then spinners capitalised. Me and Fakhar wanted to build a partnership. Rizwan played an outstanding innings. As a captain it's nice to have options. We have that luxury in both spin and pace. Want to take it match by match.
Williamson: Would've liked a few more. Pakistan were clinical with ball in hand. Having said that, it was competitive enough if we got it right with the ball. The surface did change a bit. Credit to Pakistan - they were clinical and adapted. Number of mid-partnerships but no one going on. We want to be doing things a little better in all departments really. Still felt there were opportunities in the second half. The toss had an impact but I still think there was assistance in the second half. Don't think it would've impacted the result. Both teams had opportunities with the ball. There's a bit there for everybody. Just want to be nice and clear on how we operate.
Naseem Shah, Player of the Match: The individual performance is only enjoyable when the team wins. It was reversing and I focussed on my strengths. Followed my plan and executed it.
22:19 Local Time, 17:19 GMT, 22:49 IST: Pakistan have chased down the target quite comfortably. They kept New Zealand down to 255 on a slow pitch, with Naseem Shah finding reverse-swing at the death to bag a five-for and legspinner Usama Mir also having a memorable debut. New Zealand struggled to time the ball and find any momentum in their innings. Batting may have become slightly easier under lights with a bit of dew. But the excellence of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in tackling spin bowling also shone through. Babar used the crease superbly to maneuver the field. Rizwan started off slowly but changed his gears when Babar was dismissed. The arrival of Haris Sohail helped as well, as he took the pressure off with a quickfire 32. He made a big dent in the required rate that had climbed over six at one point. From there, Pakistan cruised to victory.
Southee to Agha Salman, SIX, right in the slot on off, Salman clears the front leg and lofts it over the long-off boundary. Pakistan win the first ODI

Ferguson to Agha Salman, no run, short and wide, beats Salman on the cut
Ferguson to Rizwan, 1 run, pulled to deep square leg
Ferguson to Rizwan, no run, poor review. It's short of length, Rizwan misses the pull and is struck on the thigh. And it's going well over the stumps
Ferguson to Rizwan, no run, blocked from the crease
Ferguson to Rizwan, 2 runs, short and wide, Rizwan slaps it through cover and they almost collide while going for the second run. Salman could've been struggling had the throw been gathered as he had to go around Rizwan
