That's it from us! It was a hard fought series and NZ have come up triumphs in the ODIs. It's their maiden ODI series win in Pakistan, that makes it all the more special. We enjoyed a lot in bringing you the live coverage. We hope you enjoyed our company too. For now, goodbye and cheers!
Time for the glory moment! Kane Williamson has been handed over the trophy. He poses for photographs along with his teammates and everyone has a big smile on their face. New Zealand thoroughly deserve this moment!
Kane Williamson | New Zealand Captain - He wasn't feeling great either but he came out and played an incredible innings. At the halfway stage, we were in the game. We were curious how the pitch would play but it play decently. Credit to Pakistan for bowling well and for the fight they put up in the series. (On Phillips) He had one thing in mind and he hit the ball beautifully. It was one of those knocks, he came out and took us to victory. The surfaces have been really competitive, our bowlers have bowled well, we have taken wickets at the back-end. Last game it turned a lot but today it didn't turn much. A great series, a lot of good contributions together. It's absolutely great to be here. As a team, we have really enjoyed our time, on and off the field. It has a been a special experience to play in Pakistan.
Babar Azam | Pakistan Captain - We started well and it went according to plan. Agha took back to back wickets and that kept us in the game but Phillips took the game away for us. I think we were 10-15 runs short. The way Rizwan was batting was good but we had quite some soft dismissals in the middle. Spinners bowled well and kept the batters in check and we executed our plans too but Phillips took the game away from us. When your teammates perform, especially the way Zaman and Rizwan did, it feels really good.
Devon Conway | Player of the Series - I think the surfaces were quite batter friendly and I enjoyed myself. I had good partnerships. It's very special, overall winning the series is a special feeling in Pakistan. The communication with Kane was to bat according to a plan and he reminded me to bat long and build a partnership. The support out there was special so thank you everyone.
Glenn Phillips | Player of the Match - I think at the end of the day I wasn't feeling great. I tried to play aggressively and it paid off. I was looking to go over the leg side more and found space.
He counter-attacked the Pakistani bowlers and pulled back the momentum in their favour. He was ruthless against any bad ball and took toll. When the tourists were nearing a victory, Santner and Sodhi got out to soft dismissals but Phillips kept his cool and took his side over the line with 2 wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare. Credit to the Pakistani bowlers though, they bowled well for most part of the game. But, their pacers also ended up conceding some extras at the fag end and the fielding was also a bit shoddy. A game of fine margins and you can't afford that when you can turn things around. Earlier, Pakistan put up a competitive total on the board, courtesy Fakhar's brilliant ton and Rizwan's half century. Southee and Ferguson starred with the ball for the visitors. In the end, the Kiwis kept their nerves in the run chase to record a famous series win.
22:32 Local Time, 17:32 GMT, 23:02 IST: What a game! It moved to and fro like a pendulum but NZ have kept their cool to win the ODI series in style! It was a sedate start from the Kiwi openers as the Pakistani pacers were disciplined upfront. A brilliance in the field from the sub, Tayyab Tahir, caught Allen off guard and he found the bull's eye to catch him short. It was the duo of Conway and Williamson once again who dig in and kept the scoreboard ticking. A 65-run stand between them was cut short by Agha. Mitchell also got off to a start but threw his wicket away. Just like Conway, Williamson also scored a fifty but couldn't carry on, courtesy another moment of brilliance in the field from Wasim which resulted in another run-out. Pakistan kept chipping away at the wickets as the Kiwi batters struggled against the low bounce and appreciable turn on offer. But, Phillips had other things in mind. He walked in when the visitors were in trouble at 181/5.
Mohammad Hasnain to Glenn Phillips, 1 run, that's it! NZ win their maiden ODI series against Pakistan in Pakistan! Length ball on middle, he tucks it in front of mid-wicket and takes his side to a famous victory
Mohammad Hasnain to Glenn Phillips, wide, A lot of extras at the end has proved to be Pakistan's undoing! Scores are level now! Too wide outside off, Glenn Phillips slashes at it but misses
