Bowler
That's all from our side from this game folks! We'll be back tomorrow that is, in less than 24 hours - for the second game of this 5-match T20I series. See you soon. Ciao for now!
Babar: I wasn't expecting this (my 100th T20I game), grateful that I have achieved this feat. It was a team effort. We lost early wickets, but Fakhar and Ayub built the innings. Saim has been improving day by day, wish him good luck. I think our batters set up a good total on this wicket. We had a good bowling line-up, Rauf bowled well and so did the other bowlers. It's good when you have many options. It was a collective effort as all the bowlers stuck to their plans.
Latham: Preparation wasn't ideal, but you got to adapt to the situation. The score was about par and the required rate increased quickly. I knew he (Henry) got a hat-trick, a special milestone for him. We get another opportunity later on today.
Haris, PoTM: Was just trying to bowl stump-to-stump. If you get a good start, you are confident enough, so it's easy for you. Liked all the wickets I took. Everything is fine. Sometimes you lose control in your run-up, you tumble, but that's not a big deal.
00:22 Local Time, 19:22 GMT, 00:52 IST: That's a pretty convincing win for Pakistan who go 1-0 up in the 5-match T20I series. There was an IPL match earlier in the day, but this international game has failed to lived up to its expectation to be honest. Electing to bat first, Pakistan posted a massive total as a result of Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub's brilliant knocks. And their bowlers made sure to complement their batter's efforts as they defended the total quite comfortably in the second innings. Rauf claimed four wickets, while the other Pakistani bowlers chipped in with handy bowling contributions. A clinical performance in the end as Pakistan go 1-0 in the series like I said before...
Haris Rauf to Ben Lister, out Bowled!! Pakistan thump NZ by 88 runs! What a clinical victory! Haris Rauf finishes it off in style as Ben Lister gets beaten for pace and the ball strikes timber.
