Pakistan have scaled the number 1 position now in ODIs. The last couple of years have seen them do well in white ball cricket and the rankings reflect the same. They are a dangerous as well as a mercurial side while playing the shorter formats. New Zealand have tried hard but they haven't come too close to this well oiled Pakistan side. They will look for one final hurrah. We will be there to bring it to you.

Babar Azam, Player of the Match: Team's efforts and the work from the support staff has helped us to be number 1, Credit to the boys for putting in the effort in tough times. The journey has been good. And has been a memorable one. Has been filled with support, sacrifices and struggle so far. The wicket played well today. We planned to build partnerships. Me and Agha built a partnership and decided to take it deep. We thought 310 was possible. Shaheen got us beyond expectations. As a team, we had decided we would test our bench strength. We need to prepare for future games and events. We needed to be sure of our best 15 or 16 players.

Tom Latham: I think they played really well. The platform they were able to set despite losing three wickets. Babar played well and players played well around him. Credit to them. When you look at it at a development point of view, they got some exposure against a team like Pakistan. We will go back understanding the conditions better. Would be trying to build some partnerships. Some one will have to bat through. We will look at the wicket we will be playing on and then we will take a call as to what is to be done.

23:03 Local Time, 18:03 GMT, 23:33 IST: The target of 335 was always going to be enough. NZ were always up against it. Latham and Chapman tried hard but their knocks needed to be much bigger than they were. That was the only time when it seemed that Pakistan might have to break some sweat. But wasn't to be. Mohammad Wasim Jr and Mir were brilliant and scalped 7 wickets between them. Shaheen removed the skipper and post that NZ never threatened much. They needed someone to score really big but that never happened. Earlier, the skipper of Pakistan scored a ton and that propelled their team to 334. Pakistan have made it 4-0 and are now number 1 in the ODI rankings. Hang on for the presentation ceremony.
