The first round of the tri-nation series comes to an end with Pakistan having logged in 4 points, NZ 2 and Bangladesh 0. There will be a one-day break before the teams are back for the second leg of the tri-series. Bangladesh have plenty of work to do, if not for this tournament, for the upcoming World Cup at least. So do New Zealand, especially their catching. The hosts will play Pakistan in the next match on 11th. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Kane Williamson | Winning captain - Bangladesh played nicely in the PP, we knew the wicket was a challenge to bat fluently, but our bowlers were spot on to restrict them to a low total and then we had the partnerships going with the bat. It's horses for courses policy for the first few matches, we'll keep looking at our options going ahead. He has been with us for a long period of time (on Ish Sodhi), 100 T20I wickets - he has helped us win a lot of games with those wickets. Fielding is an important cog and we need to keep working hard on that, there's a lot of cricket coming up, fielding is something we pride on. A few niggles going on, the schedule is tight going into the World Cup, so you need to be smart with your players (on Adam Milne going off the field).
Shakib Al Hasan | Losing captain - I thought their spinners bowled well on a used wicket, We started well, tried to play some big shots, lost a couple of wickets in the middle and never regained momentum. Two of the top-4 have to put their hands up and play until the 15th or 16th over. We'll keep trying, we have a few more games to come, they're day games and could suit us better. I was supposed to bat further up, but two spinners were bowling and we wanted a left-right combination. The bowlers have done well in both games and the fielding has been good, those are the positives, need to work on our batting though. It's hard to keep the energy levels high when you're losing games, but we'll look to build momentum going into the World Cup
Micheal Bracewell | Player of the Match - I'm really happy with my effort today. The experience of bowling to some class players at the nets helped me, it was challenging at times, but exciting as well. We have a good group of spinners with whom we share ideas, I thought Ish bowled particularly well. I pride on my batting, look to contribute whenever I get the chance, just do whatever the team wants me to do. No excuses for my dropped catch though, lost it under the sun.
22:23 Local Time, 09:23 GMT, 14:53 IST: A comprehensive win and that puts the hosts on the board, after their loss to Pakistan yesterday. They won a good toss and the bowlers kept the lid on the scoring rate. Boult and Southee with two wickets each, but it was the off-spin of Bracewell that stunted Bangladesh. They just couldn't get going and if not for Nurul's breezy 12-ball unbeaten 25, it would have been a lot worse. Still 137 wasn't a great score and the hosts made mincemeat of the target with Conway anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 51-ball 70. Kane Williamson spent useful time in the middle for his 30 and Glenn Phillips finished off the innings in style. Shakib's Bangladesh have things to ponder ahead of the World Cup and he came in to bat only at 7, which was perplexing at best. Stay tuned for the presentations..
Shoriful Islam to Glenn Phillips, SIX, clubbed, on a good length and just outside off, Phillips clears his left leg and heaves it high and over mid-on, went sailing over and NZ win by 8 wickets
A delay as the ball has been lost, but this has been a clinical chase from the hosts, as they close in on their first win
Shoriful Islam to Glenn Phillips, SIX, smashed, too short from Shoriful - Phillips doesn't bother to keep the pull down, hammers it high and backward of square on the on-side, went sailing over the ropes for a maximum
Shoriful Islam to Conway, 1 run, on a length and at the stumps, punched to the right of mid-on for a single
Shoriful Islam to Glenn Phillips, 1 run, short of a good length and just outside off, slapped away in front of square on the off-side for a single
Shoriful Islam to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, banged in short and down leg, Phillips was late on the pull, the ball catches the gloves and runs away fine, past the keeper and into the long leg ropes
Shoriful Islam [3.0-0-21-1] is back into the attack

Taskin Ahmed to Glenn Phillips, 1 run, short of a good length and just outside off, Phillips pushes away from his body and gets an inside edge onto his pads, rolled wide of leg-stump and they're off for a quick single
Taskin Ahmed to Conway, 3 runs, creamed, on a good length and just outside off - Conway leans into the drive and places it into the gap wide of cover - long chase for Litton from sweeper cover, slides and pulls it back in, saves a run for his team
Taskin Ahmed to Conway, no run, on a good length and just outside off, a half-stride forward as Conway defended
Taskin Ahmed to Conway, FOUR, drilled, half-volley on off, Conway leans forward, presents the full face of the bat and drives it back past the bowler, no need to run for those
