So another ODI series in which Pakistan have been outplayed. They just can't get a hang of the 50-over format. The cut-off date for the 2019 World Cup is 30th September 2017. Pakistan have only two ODI series before that - the tour to West Indies and Champions Trophy. If they don't perform well in those, then they will have to play the qualifying rounds. But before that they have another ODI lined up on Thursday. Do join us for that. Until next time, goodbye and cheers!

Smith: "I thought we started well with the bat. There were a couple of big partnerships at the start. Davey Warner was brilliant and then Maxi and Head finished it off. I don't think the wicket changed too much. I thinking I am winning it (toss) at the wrong time, going to India in a couple of weeks, hope I have some luck there. I think both Head and Zampa bowled well tonight. Hopefully we can put up a complete package at Adelaide."

Azhar Ali: "Yeah I think so (leaked too many). It was a tough chase. We missed opportunities in the field and we were below par. If we had fielded a bit more better, we would have had a chance. 300 was chaseable. The new ball was the best chance to score on this wicket. We leaked too many runs in the first half. We have a lot to play for. Every game is an opportunity and we will go to Adelaide and try to win."

David Warner, Man of the Match: "Love it (playing in Sydney). It is my home ground and we have plenty of support here. I was quite slow tonight. It is always special to put runs on the board for your country. The big partnership with Smith set us up. Credit to Maxwell and Head for taking us past 350. It was quite low and I had to get into position quickly to take it (referring to Malik's catch). It is always good to take a catch in the outfield."

Chasing over 350 was always going to be a daunting task. But with the start Sharjeel Khan provided, there was hope for Pakistan. The burly left-hander was quick to get into his strides, notching up his fifty in 36 balls. But the need to stay consistent with the run rate brought about his downfall and Pakistan could not recover after that. There were cameos from Hafeez and Malik, but nothing that troubled Australia. The difference between the two sides - fielding and the impact Maxwell and Head had in Australia's innings.

Hazlewood to Junaid Khan, out Bowled!! Australia seal the series. It is a happy camp. Hazlewood had his hand up and the rest of his mates join him in celebrations. Hand shakes all around. Full and straight from Hazlewood, Junaid was late to bring his bat down, done in for the pace, the ball sneaks through to crash into off and middle stump. A satisfied Steven Smith leads the Australian team out of the park. Junaid Khan b Hazlewood 0(1)

Hazlewood to Junaid Khan, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Junaid Khan, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Hazlewood to Imad Wasim, out Caught by Wade!! 50th wicket for Hazlewood in ODIs. Wasim was attempting the scoop for quite some time now, he connects but gets it finer than he would have liked. Walked right across his crease and laps it straight to Wade. The bowler and keeper went up straightaway, but the umpire took his time before raising his finger. Imad Wasim c Wade b Hazlewood 25(17) [4s-2]

Hazlewood to Imad Wasim, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Zampa to Hasan Ali, 1 run, tad short and on the stumps, Ali pulls it over backward square. Just a single as there is a man stationed in the deep. Zampa's day at the office comes to an end. Being on the sideline for the first three games, he returns with: 10-0-55-3

42.5

Zampa to Imad Wasim, 1 run, milks a single through that mid-wicket region again

42.4

Zampa to Imad Wasim, 2 runs, waits for the googly and works it through the unmanned mid-wicket region

Zampa to Imad Wasim, FOUR, Cummins almost pulls off a blinder. Wasim goes for the reverse sweep and hits it uppishly towards backward point, Cummins dived full length with his left hand outstretched, he couldn't grasp it and the ball raced away

42.2

Zampa to Hasan Ali, 1 run, quicker and hurrying onto the batsman, Ali bunts it to the right of the bowler and gets away from strike

42.1

Zampa to Hasan Ali, no run, missed stumping. No one had a clue about that. The wrong 'un from Zampa, Ali did not read it as he went for the drive, the ball sneaked through the bat and pad gap. Wade was blinded by the batsman and he failed to glove it. Ali was well out of the crease
