So, that's it from our side. Australia move 1-0 up in the 3-match Test series. A fine all-round show from them. A historic day for Lyon and Australia. They ticked all boxes and treated us to some brilliant cricket. Pakistan were caught off-guard and struggled to adjust to the tricky conditions. They would take this as a learning and look to put up a better show going ahead. A lot of cricket going on all around the globe so keep following Cricbuzz for all the updates. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Pat Cummins | Australia captain: Great start to the summer. Everything fell in place really so couldn't be happier. We've played a lot of cricket here, it's an experienced side so the build-up was very chilled and relaxed. (On Warner) That was huge. His and Uzzy's partnership at the start really set it up for us. To get 350 odd (on the first day), we were really ahead of the game from the first day. (On Marsh) He's one of the favorites of the West, he's also one of my favorites. It's great to see him back in Australia and playing a Test after five (six) years. (On Lyon) 500 Test wickets around the world is huge. Couldn't be happier for him. He was out for six months with a calf injury and it's great to see him back. Going to get home for a few days and we'll get together on the 22nd or the 23rd. It's always nice to have the families together for Christmas Day before we get to work.

Shan Masood | Pakistan captain: Look when you come to these shores, you look for progress. If you had told us that Australia will play 110 overs and we'll play 100, I'd have taken that. We could have scored quicker and 60-70 runs would have proved the difference in maybe keeping that lead to a sizeable level. Discipline is something we would take from the Australian attack. We took 15 wickets and need to aim for 20. It's never easy when you have two debutants in a four-seam attack. They have the first-class record, and they had a lot of overs under their belt. Aamer’s pace was decent and Khurram’s accuracy was good. We'll take the positives and they did decently well.

Mitchell Marsh | Player of the Match - My first Test match at this stadium, first at Perth in six years, so it's a nice feeling. When I went out, the lead was big and so the pressure was off, but this was a tricky wicket, so I had to gauge the conditions before playing my shots. Batting is my priority, we've got such an amazing bowling attack, so happy to contribute with the ball and it's a great feeling to take Babar out.

'Great feeling to take 500 wickets', says Nathan Lyon. Nice to get back after the injury, I have not taken anything for granted, especially playing for Australia, appreciate every moment of my career.

Australia gained a sizeable lead of 216 runs and it was always going to be a massive one with the pitch deteriorating. Another good show with the bat from Australia pushed Pakistan further on the back foot. Khawaja and Marsh scored fifties. Once the southpaw was dismissed on 90, Australia called for the declaration, setting Pakistan a mammoth target of 450. The Aussie bowlers ruled the roost and didn't give the Pakistani batters any chance. Lyon took his 500th Test wicket and the Aussie pacers had a gala time. Pakistan were bowled out for their third lowest total in Australia. Stick around for the presentations...

16:33 Local Time, 08:33 GMT, 14:03 IST: Lyon is being congratulated by his teammates. Historic day for him, he takes the ball and keeps it inside his pocket. 500 Test wickets is an amazing feat! It has been a terrific all-round show from the home side. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Warner and Khawaja stitched a 126-run opening stand and set the tone for the hosts. Some questions were raised over Warner's form but he answered his critics with a superb century. Australia almost breached the 500-run mark. Pakistan were on the back foot but their openers responded well. Imam and Shafique showed good resolve. But, once the opening partnership was breached, Australia kept chipping away at the wickets. All the bowlers were in the wickets column.

Hazlewood to Khurram Shahzad, out Caught by Warner!! That's the final nail in the coffin! Back of a length ball outside off, Khurram Shahzad pushes at it and gets a thick outside edge. Warner at first slip takes it reverse cup. Clinical show from Australia and they win by 360 runs. Khurram Shahzad c Warner b Hazlewood 0(1)

Hazlewood to Saud Shakeel, out Lbw!! Shakeel has been given lbw but he opts for the review! That one stayed really low. Was banged in on a short of length and hardly rose up, Shakeel was up on his toes looking to tuck it across but missed to get rapped in front. UltraEdge shows a clear gap between bat and ball. Over to ball-tracking and it shows three reds. Crashing into leg-stump. 9th wicket down for Pakistan. Australia inch closer to a victory. Saud Shakeel lbw b Hazlewood 24(51) [4s-4]
