That's it from this series. Babar Azam was informed that the trophy for winning the T20Is will be handed out after the Tests. So Pakistan continue their good run in the shortest format, although it got way too close today for their liking. We'll be back for the first Test that begins on Friday. Goodbye for now.
Babar Azam: The way every individual has performed, credit to the group. There is always scope for improvement. Our fielding has improved a lot. Middle order has also taken responsibility to win matches. Want to take this confidence into the Tests. Thanks to the fans, we enjoyed these three matches.
Rizwan, Player of the Series: Can't explain the joy you feel when the team wins and when your performances contribute to wins. Our main focus is to assess the conditions and focus accordingly. Want to credit Majeed (Pakistan's fielding coach), the way he's worked on my keeping for the last year. Want to thank the fans. It feels like we're playing in Pakistan.
Haider Ali, Player of the Match: Pitch was difficult but started with Rizwan and he supported me. Gameplan was to target specific bowlers based on what the equation was.
Mahmudullah: It's hard to say. Batters from both teams struggled a bit. Need to spend some time at the crease to capitalise. I really appreciate the way Taskin came back after having the injury on his bowling hand. Great character shown.
Saqlain Mushtaq | Pakistan coach - The game was quite close, but our boys held their nerve. Credit to Bangladesh, especially the way Mahumudullah bowled the last over and controlled the situation. The conditions were strange compared to UAE, it wasn't easy, but the bowlers executed their plans nicely. They are playing the game seriously, ticking all the boxes, enjoying each other's company and showing plenty of faith in themselves. Having that kind of depth is a great thing for Pakistan, the guys in the bench are working hard and are pushing each other for spots, you can't ask for anything more.
17:33 Local Time, 11:33 GMT, 17:03 IST: Phew. 26 needed off the last four overs. It comes down to eight off the final one. With no other choice due to the situation created by Taskin's injury, Mahmudullah puts his hand up despite not having bowled earlier in the game. And what drama it led to! A couple of wickets early to get the crowd screaming at the top of their voice, before a six from Iftikhar and a fierce blow off the final ball from Nawaz crushed their dreams. It's the closest the Bangladesh bowlers have got all series, as they've found themselves having to compensate for the lack of runs from their batters. No Shakib, no Tamim, and no Mushfiq, and there've been no runs at all with Bangladesh struggling on a tired Dhaka pitch. It shouldn't have been so difficult for Pakistan given how well they were placed. But you can't complain from a neutral's standpoint.

Mahmudullah to Mohammad Nawaz, FOUR, and Nawaz dances down to the pitch of it, creams it over extra cover! A game that Pakistan seemed to have under control turned into a nail-biting thriller, but they've come out on top eventually to complete the whitewash
Mohammad Nawaz, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Keeper walks up for a chat with the bowler. Then the two batters get together. Now what do we have here? Nawaz got into stance, Mahmudullah released the ball and then Nawaz pulled out. The ball goes on to hit the stumps. Will be a dead ball. Okay here we go again. Or do we? Now Mahmudullah stops in his delivery stride. Right, take three!
Mahmudullah to Iftikhar Ahmed, out Caught by (sub)Yasir Ali!! Fires it across the right-hander, Iftikhar swings again, and it loops off a thick edge to backward point. Madness. Iftikhar Ahmed c (sub)Yasir Ali b Mahmudullah 6(2) [6s-1]
Mahmudullah to Iftikhar Ahmed, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Mahmudullah round the wicket
Mahmudullah to Iftikhar Ahmed, SIX, Iftikhar launches his first ball over long-off! Oh my! What a finish this is turning out to be. Was a hat-trick ball, Mahmudullah fires in a leg-cutter again and Iftikhar swings high and mighty straight down the ground
Khushdil Shah, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Mahmudullah to Haider Ali, out Caught by Shanto!! Mahmudullah strikes again and it's the big wicket of Haider this time. Wow. You have to listen to this crowd in Dhaka. Slightly short, Haider hammers the pull hard but doesn't get much elevation. Shanto hangs on at long-on despite an initial fumble. Haider Ali c Shanto b Mahmudullah 45(38) [4s-3 6s-2]
Mahmudullah to Haider Ali, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Iftikhar Ahmed, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Mahmudullah to Sarfaraz, out Caught by Naim!! Connects with the slog-sweep this time, but he hasn't got enough! Holes out at deep midwicket and the crowd erupts. Might've been another leg-cutter. Are Pakistan messing this up? Sarfaraz c Naim b Mahmudullah 6(12)
