England 3, Pakistan 0: Stokes collects the trophy and his mates rally around to pose for the cameras. A huge roar. All smiles. So, not only did England gain some much-needed Super League points, but they have done it in some style and sent a thumping reminder to world cricket about the depth they enjoy in white-ball cricket. Plenty of positives and a few selection headaches for the management. For Pakistan, the only way is up. They need to up their fielding standards and as Babar mentioned, some consistency in the bowling helps. A three-match T20I series awaits both teams in three days' time. England's squad news will be out soon and Pakistan have some exciting young talents in their line-up too. Should be a fun ride, that! Do remember to join us for the first one on Friday. Until then, this is Raju Peethala wishing goodbye and good night on behalf of Kumar Abhisekh Das and Harish V.
Ben Stokes | England skipper: All the efforts from all the guys who turned up last week, I just want to say a massive thanks to the players, support staff and everyone who made this possible. The normal personnel, a huge amount of credit must go to Morgs, Silverwood and Trevor Bayliss to allow the new guys to play the way they play and be really happy. This is a culture that we try to create, allow the guys to go out there and play fearless cricket. The most pleasing thing to me is no-one seems to be affected by the situation. We got so many good players coming through and we got a few guys looking over the shoulder and overall happy with the series win. Bob Willis is one of the greats of the game, not just for England but also in the game of cricket and today has done a real good job of raising awareness of prostate cancer.
Babar Azam | Pakistan skipper: We couldn't bowl in the channels consistently at the start and the sloppy fielding didn't help either. England were really good and special credit to James Vince. In international cricket the margins are very small and these kinds of errors cost us the game. We want to come up with a better plan for the T20Is and learn from our mistakes.
Saqib Mahmood | Player of the Series: Pretty special week, you get the responsibility to take the new ball and to repay the faith was amazing. Really happy. You see what the conditions are like and try and put the ball in the right areas. Stokes has stepped in and we had an aggressive mindset as a team and that has helped. I just take it as it comes. This time last week I was playing for Lancashire and really happy to be here. I will take it as it comes.
James Vince | Man of the Match: We got off to a quick start. That never allowed the rate to go up. Lewis got important boundaries and never allowed the rate to go out of hand. We managed to get boundaries pretty regularly. Obviously pleased to get the opportunity and nice to make the contribution.
In the first 21 overs of the chase, England hit a boundary almost every over and that set the stage for the long-due James Vince who played the best knock of his career. A knock that will be remembered for the ages given his ever-luring tendency to awe fans with his outrageous skill and talent. Once he got to his hundred, you could see how much it meant to him. And while all of this was unfolding, a sedate Somerset man notched up his maiden international fifty to kill the chase in style and put up a clinic of short-ball hitting while at it... Pakistan dropped as many as three catches and you don't win too many games doing that. Not against England, surely...
20:52 local, 12:52 Pakistan time: A massive roar as the players walk off towards the pavilion. Both Carse and Craig Overton hug and holler their way back to the dressing room. Chasing what looked like a challenging 332, England erased almost half the target by the 20th over (151/4) and from that stage, it was just about getting occasional boundaries and playing sensible cricket. Yes, you could argue that England lost one too many wickets trying to go too hard in the first half, but that's how they play the game. Eoin Morgan has repeatedly emphasized that they are okay to look bad at the cost of endorsing a ruthless brand of cricket. Salt started off, Crawley took over and then handed over the enforcer duties to Ben Stokes. And when three players play such a role, no target is big enough.

Hasan Ali to Craig Overton, 1 run, clip off the pads square on the leg-side. England just 2 hits away...
Hasan Ali to Craig Overton, 2 runs, he is dealing in even numbers is Craig Overton! Hasan Ali goes full and it's been flicked wide of the deep mid-wicket
Hasan Ali to Craig Overton, FOUR, these Somerset lads are very good at short balls. Just the sheer confidence in playing that pull through mid-wicket, no chance for the fielder in the deep
Hasan Ali to Craig Overton, 2 runs, tucked away behind square on the leg-side and Overton comes back for the second with ease
Hasan Ali to Brydon Carse, 1 run, opens the bat face and steers the length delivery to the left of third man. A fiery throw from Shaheen Afridi to the keeper Sarfaraz. Remember all the theatre that happened between those two a month ago in the PSL? If the answer is a no, you surely missed some entertainment
Hasan Ali to Craig Overton, 1 run, driven off the toe-end to the left of Babar at mid-off and a fumble there made the easier single look even more easy
