Pakistan 1 -- 0 England. The visitors had to post 232 - their highest T20I score - to register their first win of the tour. They out-batted, out-bowled and out-fielded England. Can the hosts bounce back and level the series? The action shifts to Headingley next; tune in for the second T20I on Sunday. On that note, it's goodbye from Abhinand Raghavendran on behalf of Sagar Chawla, Rishi Roy and Naga.

Shaheen Afridi | Man of the Match: Our batsmen gave us a good start and laid the platform for our win. We just had to bowl in the right areas. We were targeting the yorkers and kept the variations going as it was tough to bowl in these conditions. When I am on the ground, I give my 100%. We kept attacking and tried to be positive.

Babar Azam | Pakistan captain: I spoke about not repeating the mistakes. Myself and Rizwan got off to a good start and every batsman played his role well. You need to change you mindset a bit (to switch to the shortest format). In T20s, you need to take quick decisions, you have to remain positive and enjoy your game. We gave our 100% in all departments. We took good catches, Shaheen and Hasnain bowled well. Credit to Hasnain for bowling the pressure 18th over. We'll look to build on the momentum.

Eoin Morgan | England captain: When you look at the chase, it was a huge positive. We were in the game till Willey was out there. It was Pakistan's day, they bowled well and put or bowlers under pressure in the second half of their innings. There were a lot of positives to take on a ground like this which replicates Sharjah where we might play games during the World Cup. A lot of positives, execution wasn't good as we would have liked but not our day. We have played a lot of cricket at Trent Bridge, one of the most difficult wickets to bowl in the world, it's one of the highest run-scoring grounds for a long period of time. It's good to be under pressure like we were today. It was an incredible knock (from Liam Livingstone). Over the last six years as a group, our changing room has sat back and watched so many incredible knocks from Buttler, Roy, Ali. That knock today was as good as any of them. He was incredible. Moeen and and Liam will be in the middle-order to try and score runs. Liam has taken full advantage of it today, opportunity will continue over the next two games. We don't have a lot of time between now and the T20 World Cup, so it's all about establishing the guys before the World Cup selection.

22:08 Local Time, 21:08 GMT, 02:38 IST: Pakistan are always synonymous with unpredictability, aren't they! After getting blanked in the 50-over format, they showed no signs of hangover as they posted their highest ever T20I score. England, in reply, had only one option -- attack, attack and attack. They came out with that approach and lost three wickets in the powerplay but added 69 runs in the process! Roy got a start, but couldn't convert it into a big one. Liam Livingstone, at five, came out all guns blazing right from the word go. He hit sixes for fun and broke two England records - fastest fifty and hundred - to keep his team in the hunt. He found little support as Pakistan constantly picked wickets. He eventually fell to Shadab Khan against whom he had struck five towering sixes. After his downfall, there was little fight from the lower order as the Pakistan pacers were clinical with their death bowling.

Shaheen Afridi to Parkinson, out Bowled!! 88.8mph, perfect yorker at the base of the leg-stump. Parkinson stays leg-side, clears his front leg and has an ungainly swing of the bat. Beaten for pace and the stumps light up. Pakistan win the run-fest by 31 runs! Parkinson b Shaheen Afridi 0(2)

Haris Rauf to Willey, out Caught by Shadab Khan!! Shadab has been brilliant in the field tonight! Sprints to his left from wide long-on, times his jump perfectly and takes a well-judged catch just in front of the boundary rope. It was a length ball, Willey stayed back and low to heave it over the on-side. Made good contact but picked the wrong fielder. Willey c Shadab Khan b Haris Rauf 16(11) [4s-2 6s-1]
