That is it from game number 1. In less than 24 hours they will be back locking horns again. Our team waves you tada!
Sarfraz Ahmed, Man of the Match: Good thing is that the team is winning. I am backing myself and the coaches have been helping me. T20 is a different format and you take it ball after ball if you are not in form. We came here yesterday, could not practice because of rain but the boys did well. If you are the number 1 team, the pressure is on you when you are playing teams like Scotland and Ireland.
Kyle Coetzer: Was a good wicket and credit to Sarfraz who played a good knock and put us under pressure. He was the difference in the end. Some high quality spinners in that Pakistani line up. We feel we can play spinners and we have done that in the last couple of months. Hope we will work on it in times to come.
Scotland started off on top gear in the first six overs but they forgot the accelerator button for the rest of the essay. Spinners choked the life out of the chase to ensure Pakistan's amazing form in the shortest version of the game continues. Hang on for the presentations.
The fairytale for Scotland will not have another version. The giant killers were up against the mercurial giants and the result is a smooth sailing by 48 runs for the latter. Skipper Sarfraz (89 off 48) anchored the innings in the middle over and blazed along towards the end. That though was done in tag-team effort with Shoaib Malik, who also registered a fifty. Once they managed more than 200, it was always going to be an uphill task.

Talat to Leask, 1 run, Slapped to long-off and Pakistan win by 48 runs. A convincing win from the number 1 ranked T20I team.
Talat to Leask, no run, by the time the batsman was through his shot, the bowler had not even released it. slower short ball tickles the ribs as the pull was missed
Talat to Safyaan Sharif, 1 run, short ball, that has been slapped away to long-on. 50 more off 2 balls
Talat to Safyaan Sharif, no run, another one of those slower short balls and the batsman was way too early into it
Talat to Leask, 1 run, nice shape going away on the low full toss meant to be a yorker. The man at long-off cuts it off as the batsman muscled it away
Talat to Safyaan Sharif, 1 run, quickish short ball, the batsman is cramped on the pull. Gets a single into the on-side
Hussain Talat, comes into the attack
Last over and they need 53 runs..consaltion runs to be scored here. Has been the case after the powerplay period in this innings. They did well in the first 6 but then the wheels came off.

Hasan Ali to Matthew Cross, out Caught by Shoaib Malik!! Climbs on to the short ball but the uppish pull finds the man at long-on. That ball bounced a tad bit more and the batsman could not get enough elevation to clear the man at the fence. They checked for a front foot no-ball but there was something behind the line.
