The scoreline now reads 1-1 and with three more ODIs to go, this could shape into an interesting series. Few of the South African players who were were rested in the first two ODIs return for the third ODI and their team would probably be a much tougher one to deal with. Can Pakistan put up a similar show in the remainder of the series with the opposition's big guns back in it? We shall find that out in a few day's time. That was all from our side from this contest. This is Nikhil, Varun, Akshay and Harish waving a goodbye to all of you! Night folks!

Faf du Plessis: Andile has played few games for us but he's playing for the number 7th place and it was a great knock. I think it was a two paced one-day wicket. There was a lot happening earlier and later it got easier under lights. Great striking by Hasan Ali. But those two guys (Rassie and Andile), how good were they. It has been an amazing start to Rassie's ODI career. In the first match, he was 1 off 9 but he played with a lot of composure. Very pleased to see the way he's playing. Our bowlers are doing well, it's like playing in the subcontinent with the pitch assisting spinners. Dale who has rested two games should be back in the next one.

Andile Phehlukwayo, MoM: I think I've got a role to play. I had to hit the deck hard and as a bowling unit we did well. I was a bit nervous to begin with. Rassie played his role really well. Shadab was one of the hardest to pick, he beat me many times. I like boundaries and like scoring runs.

Sarfaraz Ahmed: We didn't get a good start and we gave away too many early wickets. He (Hasan Ali) batted really well and gave us some hope. We had our chance when they were 80/5. We needed one more wicket but credit goes to the one with a difficult name (Phehlukwayo), I don't know to pronounce that and also the other batsman (Rassie van der Dussen).

20:15 Local Time, 18:15 GMT, 23:45 IST: That's a comfortable victory for South Africa who have managed to bounce back in the series as a result of this clinical all-round performance. Hasan Ali with his counter-attacking knock and Shaheen Afridi with his outstanding opening spell had given Pakistan some hope, but Rassie van der Dussen and Andile Phehlukwayo snatched it away from the visitors. If it was the 9th wicket partnership that stood out in the first innings, it was the 6th wicket stand that stood out in the second innings - the one that really mattered. Pakistan had their moments but it were the hosts who won major parts of the match, hence they were the one who emerged victorious tonight. And more than anything else it was Phelkukwayo who stole the show with his spell of 4/22 earlier in the day and followed it up with an unbeaten knock of 69*. Time for the presentations...
