Tough pill to swallow for Pakistan who did a lot of things right today. But one bad stretch - from the first rain-break to the next - and the result slipped away. That's all from us here. Hope you enjoyed the coverage. It's goodbye and goodnight from Sagar Chawla, Vineet Anantharaman and Naga.
Faf, South Africa captain: Probably 90%, do you want more? (How close South Africa are to their best?) Today's performance we were below par. In the field we were flat. But the nice thing is people are putting their hand up. With Lungi's injury it's opened more options to look at bowlers. If Lungi was here, there might not have as many opportunities. Before this series already it was a tough selection with Aiden and Reeza fighting it out. And then Rassie this series comes in and dominates. JP not being here at the moment. It's really good. Chance to see how guys respond. From a batting point of view, our journey of last six months or so, we've gone quite aggressive. Every series we've got a better understanding of when to go and when not to go. Batting part is going well in terms of composure. It's going to be good to choose well when it comes to the bowling. The biggest thing is making sure that we are fresh mentally and physically for Sunday.
Reeza Hendricks, MoM: Quite happy to have contributed today and to be on the winning side. Our start was quite good and Hash set it up nicely. With rain around we tried to keep up with DLS and not lose wickets. Coming back after the break, we managed to get going, hit a few boundaries. As a batsman you obviously want to go out there and get a hundred but it doesn't work like that. Some days you happen to see the ball nicely. Today happened to be that day. Not looking at it like that (chance to seal World Cup spot). Just looking at it as another opportunity.
Sarfaraz, Pakistan captain: We thought it was a good score. Imam and Babar batted well and in the end Shoaib Malik and Imad batted well. Before rain we bowled very well, but after that we didn't bowl well. They played very well and also our bowlers bowled poorly (when asked if the conditions affected them).
21:38 Local Time, 19:38 GMT, 01:08 IST: That's it. No more play possible. South Africa win through DLS method and go 2-1 up in the series. They turned things around superbly after the first rain break. Before that, Pakistan were ahead, but Reeza Hendricks came out on fire when play resumed to register his second ODI fifty. He was ably supported by captain Faf du Plessis. Pakistan can consider themselves to be hard done by as the conditions changed considerably and it became increasingly difficult to control the wet ball. And soon after they went behind the DLS par, a persistent drizzle set in which made things worse.
20:57 Local Time, 18:57 GMT, 00:27 IST: Hearing that the rain has stopped and even the covers have been taken off. Oops, scratch that. Seems like the rain is back again.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, the earlier delay used up the entire one hour of extension, so every four minutes lost now equals an over. But none of it is going to plan for Pakistan, for a wetter ball will only make life tougher, however stiff the target turns out to be.
Mohit: Reeza Hendricks have been unbelievable! It all began at Mnazi League for him where he scored consecutive 100s and few 50s. He has not looked back since then!
20:24 Local Time: The clouds open up just a little more, and that's enough to bring the covers back on. The par score at the moment is 180/2, which means South Africa are seven runs ahead. It doesn't look as heavy as the earlier downpour though, plus the wind is strong enough as well to blow it away as well. But meanwhile, the groundsmen have been quick to come out and cover the entire square and the run-ups.

Imad Wasim to Hendricks, no run, quicker on middle. Hendricks crouches in blocking it out. And then runs away, the message has come
It's getting heavy, like stoppage of play level heavy.
Imad Wasim to du Plessis, 1 run, jumps away outside the line now. Stabs it streakily from in front of middle, through extra cover
Imad Wasim to du Plessis, no run, quicker arm ball. Checked wrist, short mid-wicket
Imad Wasim to Hendricks, 1 run, a bit of width. Punched off the back foot, making room as he does, sweeper
Imad Wasim to Hendricks, no run, some air thrown up. Hendricks runs down, doesn't get it in the slot still, and cuts it away to cover
Imad Wasim to Hendricks, no run, fired into the pads. Hendricks whips all around it
Imad Wasim [7.0-0-32-0] is back into the attack
Aquib: This could be the best practice for SA when it comes to chasing down big totals since world cup is near

Amir to du Plessis, no run, 129kph, good change up, in and cramping Faf up, who skips further away and nudges it out to mid-wicket
Amir to Hendricks, 1 run, up tall, 135kph, punching it on the up through the covers
Amir to du Plessis, 1 run, gets it short, cramping Faf for room, who swats it away awkwardly through square leg
The drizzle is picking up, but it's far from threatening enough to stop play for now.
