Phewh! My nerves are still jangling, as I'm sure, are yours. A see-sawing encounter that was engrossing until the very last minute. Miller's ferocity, Babar's class, Andile's variations, and Morris's nerve. A manifestation of the best of T20 cricket. T20Is are an underrated, underplayed format. In the IPL, in any other league, one can target lesser bowlers, or lesser batsmen. In T20Is, it's all-class. There's no room for error, and we saw a manifestation of the aforementioned class today. A perfection exhibition for the format. With that, Rishi Roy signs off for the day alongside Nikhil Jadhav and our scorer Mr. Naga. *Curtains down from Jo'burg*

David Miller | Man of the Match and RSA captain: Yeah I'm very happy about that, it got tight in the end, but the guys pulled through and did incredibly well. It was enjoyable to finish the innings. The first two balls came off, and I just carried on in the last over. We started poorly with the ball, but credit to the bowlers for bringing us back into the game. We were a little too wide and short, but Shamsi brought the run-rate down and Sipamla was fantastic on debut. The guys at the back-end held their nerve well too which was amazing. I thought I was the worst captain on the planet - it was hard. The two openers were violent, but our bowlers did really well to pull things back. Really happy and chuffed that we didn't leave it till the last game.

Shoaib Malik | Pakistan captain: Yeah it was an exceptional game, of course we wanted to win the game. In this one we had the game, but we couldn't hit a couple of boundaries in the end. Babar is a class player, especially when you're playing on good pitches, against a good attack, you have to play cricketing shots, which he has done, and has been successful. The same applies to Talat. The game shouldn't have reached the 20th over, but that happens. The ball was new when the set batsmen were batting and when the new batsmen come in, it's hard for them to get going. It's important to finish things off, and we need to talk about our performance in the last few overs. If someone like Imad is bowling 3 overs in the powerplay, and containing the batsmen, it's great for the team. We need a few more guys to perform the way he is. We had Shaheen who bowled brilliantly today. You need 4-5 bowlers doing well and set a decent chaseable total and that's where we lacked. Miller was struggling in the series, but he is a class players, and we must appreciate the way he batted, so we need to have a plan B for him. In the last few overs he took the game away from us. Yes, every game is a new game, and we'd like to look at the next game as a fresh opportunity. The goal is to stay calm, not to panic in tough situations, and express ourselves under pressure.

18:45 Local Time, 22:15 IST: After a string of wins in T20Is, Pakistan have conceded two closely-fought contests on the trot. The run-chase started off extremely well for them, as Babar Azam launched a stunning assault on the young South African pacers. South Africa struggled to pick up wickets initially, and only dismissed Fakhar Zaman. The introduction of Shamsi did slow things down, but things were even as long as Babar was still out there, stitching together a hundred-run partnership with Talat. The wicket of Babar, however, triggered an implosion, as they lost 6 wickets for 33 runs, and ended up just short. It was all still possible in the final over, until it had become theoretically and mathematically impossible for Pakistan. A nerve-racking contest, and in the end, the side that managed to hold its nerve triumphed.

Phehlukwayo to Rizwan, 1 run, back of a length and wide, slapped to sweeper cover for a single and South Africa win the series 2-0! A fantastic win for the side, as Miller, the captain, exults in joy along with the bowler who bowled the final over - Andile Phehlukwayo!

Phehlukwayo to Hasan Ali, out Bowled! All over, barring a no-ball! Speared in full on leg-stump, Hasan Ali swings early through the line to hoick it into oblivion, and that sneaks between bat and pitch to crash into leg-stump. Hasan Ali b Phehlukwayo 1(2)

Phehlukwayo to Hasan Ali, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Shadab Khan, right handed bat, comes to the crease

This is thrilling stuff. Two ball left. 9 to win. 8 to tie.

Phehlukwayo to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by van der Dussen! That was a fantastic shot, except that he didn't clear the long midwicket boundary! Pitched that on a length, Shoaib Malik got behind the line to swing that high and mighty, but the roll of the fingers over the off-cutter made sure there wasn't enough pace on the pick-up. Hands it to Rassie at cow corner who settles under a nerve-jangling pressure catch. Shoaib Malik c van der Dussen b Phehlukwayo 6(4) [4s-1]

Phehlukwayo to Shoaib Malik, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

9 off 3. Malik on strike!

Phehlukwayo to Hasan Ali, 1 run, full, slow, and wide outside off, drilled to cover for a quick single

10 off 4. Everyone at the edge of their seats.

19.2

Phehlukwayo to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, a tad short and wide, chops it to the right of backward point, who dives to cut it off - just the single

4

Phehlukwayo to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, what a cool head under pressure! Picks up the length delivery, clears his leg, and swats that straight down the ground for a flat boundary

Hasan Ali, right handed bat, comes to the crease

15 to win off the last over. Pakistan play to keep the series alive. Malik, with all the experience in the world, on strike. Phehlukwayo to bowl the last over. Fingernails in danger, nerves on edge.

Chris Morris to Imad Wasim, out Bowled! Deafening noise at the Wanderers, as the beer-bellied sunbathers start to jump with joy. Speared in full, takes some pace off, Imad Wasim swings through the line a little early and that's taken the middle-stump for a walk! Knocked it dead. Imad walks back.
