A closely fought game, just what us Test cricket lovers wanted. And the drone shots and the production in general make for great Test match viewing at Galle. These two sides will return on Sunday on a different pitch but you can expect similar conditions - for spinners to do the bulk of bowling. Will be interesting to see if Pakistan add more cushion to their spin department. Sri Lanka did bounce back strongly against Australia and they are known to pull off wins here. The hosts may be forced to make some changes due to niggles/strategy. Lots to look forward to on Sunday. We will see you all at 10:00 local time. Take care!

Babar Azam | Pakistan captain: First innings we did well with the ball. I should thank the tailenders for the support they game me, especially Naseem Shah. We know how to play spin so we believed. Me and Abdullah were just trying to build a partnership. As a youngster he is showing a lot of class. Really pleasing to see him perform well.

Dimuth Karunaratne | Sri Lanka captain: I think if we put more runs in the first innings we could have put more pressure on Pakistan. But we batted well in the second innings. With the ball we could not support Prabath from the other end. We had to give him more support. Naseem supported Babar really well. The pitch went a bit flat at that point, but as a bowling unit we need to give more support to Prabath. He is capable of bowling a lot of overs. He did a great job. He bowled good areas despite bowling 30-35 overs. Playing 100 Test matches is a remarkable thing. We want to give Angelo a memorable game. We will try our best and correct the mistakes.

Abdullah Shafique | Player of the Match: I am happy that we were able to chase. Congratulations to the entire team for this record chase. Our plan was simple. We had to go get the runs. It was difficult but with time it was easier. Spinners with the new ball was slightly tough to play. Babar is one of the best in the world. We have learnt so much from him. I enjoyed batting with him in the middle.

Spare a thought for Prabath Jayasuriya. Bloke had to take all the pressure of bowling his side to victory in just his second Test match. Sri Lanka know they left Jayasuriya alone. There was hardly enough support from the other end when Jayasuriya was toiling away. He has bowled 147.2 overs and taken 19 wickets in the two games he has played. Theekshana's injury to the index finger on his bowling hand didn't help. And Ramesh Mendis spraying the ball around surely didn't help either. Their lengths, their lines, their lines of attack on occasions, their fields offering easy singles were questionable. Full credit to Shafique and Pakistan for making this look a flat pitch when there was enough assistance left even in the closing stages of the game.

14:40 Local Time, 09:10 GMT, 14:40 IST: What a win this is for Pakistan. To be blown away in the first innings. To be bailed out by their captain and Naseem with a last-wicket stand. To be asked to chase a massive 342 on a challenging pitch. To start off so well and stun Sri Lanka when the hosts were expected to cruise to win. To transfer the pressure back on Sri Lanka through belief and determination. To put the bowlers off their radar with composure. To find a way of handling spin and bounce even on Day 4-5. To be led by a great find in Abdullah Shafique. This is a memorable game for Babar Azam and Co. One of the finest come from behind wins you will see in testing conditions.
