And that concludes the presentation. A nation going through a lot off the field can find some solace with their cricket, as Sri Lanka find a way back into a Test series once again, just like they did against Australia. A victorious occasion to cap off Angelo Mathews' 100th Test, as the shoots of Sri Lanka's cricket revival seem to be blossoming again. That's all for now, until next time it is a wrap from me, Saurabh, on behalf of my commentary team - Hari and Venkatesh.
Babar Azam steps back onto the podium and both captains smile as they pose for a few photographs with the trophy. Series rightfully ends all square...
Dimuth Karunaratne, Sri Lankan captain: Back is still painful, getting an MRI tomorrow. Hopefully it is nothing. Someone had to take the responsibility, and I felt it was my time after Angelo got out. As a team we have played really well, we have stuck together as a batting unit. We come back strongly in the series, but we need to look to win every moment. Some mistakes that we will look to correct. Prabath played with me earlier and I saw his potential, we knew his potential and we saw what he could do this series. Angelo and myself have been playing since U-15 level, he has been someone who has always supported me and helped me. 100 matches is a great achievement and I hope he can play many more games for Sri Lanka.
Babar Azam, Pakistan captain: Tough game for us, we were trying to win. Credit to Sri Lanka, they bowled really well. We were ahead at a point in the second innings, but Dimuth and DDS played very well to take the game away from us. These are difficult conditions but we will take a few positives on how we played on this surface
Prabath Jayasuriya, Man of the Series: I've worked hard and stayed patient, happy with the rewards. The surface was not easy, but we stuck with our bowling partnerships hoping for the wickets to fall and it happened. I waited for my time, had a lot of support from my family. Happy to be playing now.
Dhananjaya de Silva, stand-in captain and Man of the Match: Very happy with the performance. I was batting well so far and got a few good balls earlier, but I was confident. Captaincy is hardwork but it is a good challenge for us.
By the time Sri Lanka batted again in the second innings, the pitch had become more difficult with some spin and bounce, and they needed a defiant stand by skipper Karunaratne and vice-captain DDS to get them out of a tricky position. De Silva scored a brilliant century against the odds, as Sri Lanka set an unassailable target for their visitors. Coming into Day 5, it looked like Pakistan might play out a draw, specially when Babar and Rizwan were going so strong. But the find of the summer, Prabath Jayasuriya broke the vigil and from there Sri Lanka burrowed a way back into the game. Babar held the fort for long, but didn't have enough support and ultimately when he too fell to Jayasuriya, it was curtains for the visitors. Another fifer for the left-arm spinner, who has made a beautiful start to life in whites. Sri Lanka making it a habit of coming back into Test series'. Stay along for the presentations.
13:43 Local Time, 08:13 GMT, 13:43 IST: And so the Test series ends all square. The game started with skipper Karunaratne choosing to confidently bat first, and Sri Lanka made hay of that decision as the captain, Chandimal and Angelo Mathews got valuable contributions to allow the hosts to score 378 in the first innings. Pakistan weren't nearly as good in their chase, losing last game's hero Shafique in the very first over, and the other stalwarts like Babar, Rizwan and Alam all got starts but couldn't carry on. Agha Salman notched up his maiden fifty but Pakistan surrended a healthy lead, with Ramesh Mendis picking five in that first innings.
