Pakistan won by 74 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Babar Azam
Bowler
That is it from the second ODI. This is Kumar Abhisekh Das signing off. Oh! So do my mates Abhinand and Krishna. Until next time, it's goodbye and good night from all of us here.
Sarfraz Ahmed: There is always pressure after you lose the first game. A good team work. Babar batted well, Wasim finished well. The bowlers picked up wickets early as well. All the youngsters are coming up well. Shadab is improving everyday. We would want to correct a few mistakes. The wicket played really well in the first game and was slightly slow today. It is getting slower day-by-day.
Babar Azam: I thank the almighty. I just wanted to give 100 percent. I wanted to play 50 overs. There was a plan to play as long as possible. Early on, wickets fell, so whoever came in, I tried to bat with him for as long as possible.
Jason Holder: They probably got 20 runs too many. The top 6 didn't fire for us. We needed one-two partnerships more upfront. We stress consistency. Getting those partnerships upfront is crucial to us. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my team over the line. We did a few things right as well. Credit to the ground staff. The support is always good at Guyana.
Earlier in the day, Babar Azam's fifth ton took Pakistan to a respectable total of 282. The wicket was conducive for the bowlers and Pakistani bowlers fired the salvo at the opposition to reduce them to 75/6 but then some rearguard action in the lower order meant that the innings was stretched to the 45th over. Pakistan did have some bemusing moments and looked wary of another heist but they killed it off nicely in the end thanks to Hasan Ali's second fifer. The captains speak and Babar Azam or Hasan Ali or both. Who is your pick for the MOM award? Wait-a-bit.
Sarfraz, the way he punched his fist in the air did show how badly they wanted this win. So, we go into the decider as Pakistan today have put up a clinical show to level the series 1-1 with a game in hand. Barring some fireworks from the Holder-Nurse duo and then Holder-Joseph combination, Pakistan always looked comfortable trying to defend 283.
Hasan Ali to Holder, out Caught by Babar Azam!! Fifer for the young man. That was a slower short ball and the batsman trying to slap it down the ground only managed to top-edge. The ball ballooned up for the man at long-off to come in and take it. 1-1 it is now. Holder falls after holding a major part of the innings together. Holder c Babar Azam b Hasan Ali 68(87) [4s-6 6s-1]
Hasan Ali to Holder, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!
Hasan Ali to Holder, no run, slightly highish full toss and the batsman trying to flay that away, misses. Might have been a feather on its way to the keeper
Hasan Ali to Holder, no run, right up there in the yorker zone and the batsman jams it out back to the bowler
A word for Hasan Ali. He was taken to the cleaners in the last game. But the lion-hearted young man has made a wonderful comeback.
Hasan Ali to Holder, no run, full ball and steered straight to the man at point
Shannon Gabriel, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Hasan Ali to Alzarri Joseph, out Caught by Babar Azam!! Is the single on the last ball of the previous over to be blamed for this wicket? This was a length ball in the slot, but Alzarri Joseph only manages to toe-end the ball up in the air to find the able hands of the man at mid-off - Babar. The fielder was running back and had to take it over him. Alzarri Joseph c Babar Azam b Hasan Ali 15(29)

Amir to Alzarri Joseph, 1 run, uh oh! A clean pick up by the man at cover would have been interesting. That was blocked out into the covers and for some strange reasons, they decided to run only for the man there to mess it up
After the last ball. Amir did tell his skipper he was feeling pain in his shoulder. He has been grimacing in pain throughout the over. Sarfraz convinces him to complete this over.
Amir to Alzarri Joseph, no run, tailing away full ball and the batsman trying to bring his bat down, misses
Amir to Holder, 1 run, full and the batsman scoops the drive down to long-on for a single
Amir to Alzarri Joseph, 1 run, right up there in the blockhole and the batsman tapped it out into the mid-wicket region to scamper for a run. The man at mid-wicket picked it up and had a shy at the bowler's end. A direct hit and he was a goner
