Pakistan have inched towards that automatic qualification for the World cup 2019 with this series victory. That brings an end to the shorter format campaign. These two teams will fight it out in the longer format that starts 22nd of April with two legends of the game playing their final series. Do join us for the all the action. Until then this is Krishna signing off on behalf of Kumar Abhisekh Das and Sagar Chawla. Ta ta!

Sarfraz Ahmed: First, I will thank the almighty. Our bowlers really bowled well. Then Hafeez and Malik batted really well on a tough wicket in the second innings. No amount of praise is enough for the experienced batters. The credit goes to all of them. It was important ahead of the Champions Trophy. The boys listen to me despite me getting angry on them at times. I do keep my calm from behind the sticks as well.

Shoaib Malik, Man of the Match and Man of the Series: Yeah, I am very happy. Being a senior cricketer you have extra responsibility. I have to credit Hafeez. He kept hitting the boundaries and took all the pressure off me. I never felt any pressure on me. When you are chasing 234, you have to try and bat out 50 overs. I have to congratulate Sarfraz for the way he's conducting the boys. Winning the series was on our minds. The West Indian team played really well.

Jason Holder: We did not get enough runs. We thought it would spin. They played spin really well and we did not get wickets. We started well with the ball, we had them under pressure but did not get wickets in the middle overs. Credit to Hafeez and Malik. Credit to the groundsman for producing one of the better pitches here at Guyana.

Earlier in the day, West Indies managed to score 233 with the help of Jason Mohammed and Shai Hope, but their spinners couldn't make use of the spinning track. 24 overs of spin and all they managed was just a wicket.

Shoaib Malik does it in style, finishes things with a six. Made sure he stayed till the end to see his team through. In the process he even got to his 9th ODI century. Shoaib was well supported by Mohammad Hafeez for the fourth wicket stand. They both went on to stitch a crucial 113-run stand after being 36-3 in the ninth over. Babar Azam, the centurion of the previous encounter fell early. That meant the game was wide open for both the teams. The experience of Hafeez and Shoaib made sure they had no more hiccups. Hafeez missed out on a well deserved hundred having been played so well for his 81. Skipper along with Shoaib finished things with 6.5 overs to spare.

Holder to Shoaib Malik, SIX, That's it, Pakistan have won the series. What a way to get to your hundred. Clears his front foot and nails it straight down the ground to get to his 9th ODI hundred. Shoaib has his hands up in the air with joy and his partner runs towards him to give him a big hug

Pakistan need four runs to win the series 2-1.
