That brings us to an end of this game. Pakistan were far better. West Indies after failing to go past 300 in the first innings never looked like a threat. The only threat Pakistan faced was from rain. Once they had found a way to go past that, West Indies could not do much. Holder feels they will come back in the next one. Let's hope his teammates help him live up to the word. We will see you for the next one. This is Krishna signing off on behalf of Abhishek Chaudhary and Venkatesh. Bye from all of us down here.
Misbah-ul-Haq: It was tricky. When you are chasing a small target, you want to relax. Pretty satisfied with the win. After tough 6 Test matches, back to winning ways. Tricky weather, won the toss and bowled first. I knew there was only one chance to get them out quickly. However, we knew it was going to be tough batting on the 5th day. Amir and Yasir bowled pretty well. Yasir Shah's spell was the game changer. This pitch had a lot of moisture, which is why we opted to bowl first and went with three pacers. It is difficult for us to get three pacers and two spinners in the side. I always say if you are not enjoying, there is no point staying. I am still enjoying to go out there and be competitive.
Yasir Shah (Man of the Match): I try to focus on line and length as there is support for the spinners in the second innings. I have worked on my variations so there was no pressure on me. I was concentrating to do well as the previous series had not gone well for me, the way I played in England and then in Australia. I try to perform well in all sort of conditions.
Jason Holder: Not enough runs in the first innings. Could not really get the partnerships going. We needed to get in excess of 300. Obviously we lost early wickets and could not get starts. It was a bit difficult coming into the fifth day pitch and survive Yasir. This stage is tough. We have got to learn, I have full faith in the unit. We need to get better starts. We have not been able to hold our chances on the field. Credit goes to the bowlers for creating those chances. We lost opportunities on the field and had to pay for them.
Almost an entire day was lost to rain and then came the great Misbah blockade. So frustrating for the bowlers. Saps the energy off them. West Indies were frustrated to such an extent that they forgot that they had to bat, and bat long... Despite rain and Misbah's hours-eating innings, there was enough time for the the Pakistani bowlers to force a result here. First it was Amir and then Yasir Shah who returned with 6-fers. Yasir Shah's spell was the defining one. On the other hand, West Indies' struggle continues in all formats of the game with star players playing IPL and other leagues rather than donning the national jersey. WICB will have to address things soon to sort the issue before matters get worse. We will be back for the presentations in a while.
Devendra Bishoo to Misbah, SIX, and Misbah finishes things off in style. Sinks low and slogs sweeps it over deep mid-wicket for his second six. Pakistan go 1-0 up in the series with that. Smiles all round the Pakistani camp
Devendra Bishoo to Misbah, SIX, what a shot by the skipper. Dismissive!! It was tossed up outside off and Misbah clubs it over long-off for a huge six
Devendra Bishoo to Misbah, no run, defended off the front foot
Misbah-ul-Haq, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Devendra Bishoo to Younis Khan, out Lbw!! LBW shout from Devendra Bishoo and is given out by Richard Illingworth. Younis Khan takes the case upstairs. Front foot is just about okay for the review to take it to the next process. Looks like there is no bat involved. HawkEye confirms three reds and Pakistan lose another wicket. Coming to the ball, it was a full delivery on the stumps, Younis Khan was lazy on the flick and misses it. The ball hits low on the front pad and Illingworth had no doubts in mind. Raises his finger in a flash. Pakistan are making a little mess of this run chase. Younis Khan lbw b Devendra Bishoo 6(23)
