A Test match for the ages. Yo-yo-ing either way every hour before settling down to take the series to the island of Dominica. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we did in bringing it to you. I've been Vineet Anantharaman bidding goodbye, on behalf of the usual culprits, Krishna and Venkatesh. Ta ta!!
Holder: It was a very good game for us. A collective team effort where we got good runs in both innings on that kind of a pitch. Credit must go to Shai Hope for the way he set it up for us. I thought if we got 170 we'd have a very good chance on the day five pitch. We had to use our variations, our cutters, crossed seam deliveries and the slower balls to our advantage. Credit to the boys for bowling the lengths right. We did put down a couple of chances in the second innings and these are a few areas where we could improve. [On Shai Hope] He likes batting here, has a couple of centuries on this ground, unfortunately couldn't go on to score a hundred today. We needed to keep the series alive, we had a couple of days to work on what we needed. Changed our practice schedules and our preparation and that helped. The series is now alive and either side could take it. Getting the consistency in the way we play is going to be the key.
Shannon Gabriel, Man of the Match: It meant a lot to me. It was a complete team effort and the way Roston batted in the first innings set the game up for us. We knew that if we gave ourselves a good lead on this fifth day pitch anything could happen. [On his issue with no balls] I was trying too hard and trying to bowl too fast. I tried to relax and it went my way. It is one of my greatest achievements and to top it off with a victory makes it all the more special. The wicket was a bit up and down and we had to hit the right areas which is what we did.
Misbah: You can easily say that it was about our batting on a day five pitch. But after getting them to 150/6, we allowed them to go up to 300 which was critical. We knew the pitch was going to get worse by the day. In the first innings we could have made a bigger score but all credit to the Windies. They bowled tight lines and bowled their hearts out. The thought in the team was to stay normal and hit the ball if it was there. They fielded brilliantly first up and didn't give anything away. We knew that after 20 overs it becomes easier to survive but in the early overs itself we lost our key batsmen after which it was impossible to recover. The awkward bounce their bowlers got was because of their height. It was a tailor made pitch for them as they got the ball to move all around. Impressed with Abbas, he showed good skill. In fact bowlers on both sides did really well, just that we couldn't close out the first innings. Dominica is going to be an interesting Test match and that is what we play cricket for.
Gabriel, breathing fire, bolted the ball around to have half the Pakistani side against his name. With Alzarri and Holder playing the supporting role to perfection. What is worrying for Pakistan is that had the catches been taken in the slips, the innings could well have been shorter. Not quite the ideal strategy to keep batting out time with a defensive strategy, what the openers started out with. Was only a matter of time before a ball with your name came your way. Ask Younis Khan. As the scant supporters who've come out celebrate downing a few mugs, we wait for the presentations..
The stumps go off. Gabriel grabs one for himself. Takes the ball as well to pose for the cameras. The history of the oval stays guarded. Barbados remains a fortress yet to be bettered by any Asian side - in history. More importantly, a much needed win for the West Indians. For their pride. They get there defending 188 with a degree of ease. You'd imagine the spinners to have some say in the final day's play on a powdering wicket. Not today. Neither of them even bowled. To put it in simple words, Pakistan do an India from 1997.
Holder to Sarfraz, out Caught by Roston Chase at !! That's that. Pakistan self-implode. Make a real mess of this chase. Can't blame Sarfraz for wanting to heave a few away. Not quite ideal though with the field spread. Walks across, gets behind the line of a fullish teaser and whips it uppishly. Not quite the power, neither quite the distance. Chase, at long-on accepts with glee and snaffles it with utter glee. Sarfraz c Roston Chase b Holder 23(50) [4s-2]

Gabriel to Mohammad Abbas, no run, flat out just outside the sticks. Gets forward, decides to poke and then watches it go by
Gabriel to Mohammad Abbas, no run, wastes his efforts by spraying it down leg. Abbas would be happy to let it go
Mohammad Abbas, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Gabriel to Yasir Shah, out Bowled!! Here's the fifer. Gets there courtesy a jaffa. Some angry celebrations as well - bangs the pitch with his palm. Too good for Shah, who was keen on hanging behind on his back foot to a delivery quite full. Cuts back in violently off a good length and stays mighty low as well. Through the defence and the off-stump is flat down. One wicket away from taking the series to Dominica. Yasir Shah b Gabriel 0(8)
Gabriel to Yasir Shah, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!
Gabriel to Yasir Shah, no run, looks for the blockhole. An alert Shah jams it back
Gabriel to Yasir Shah, no run, coming in with the angle. Presses forward does Shah and strokes it off the inside half of the bat to mid-on
Gabriel to Yasir Shah, no run, 131kph, keeping a hint low. Nothing alarming with Shah getting time to crouch and guide it away
