It's a shame we had weather playing spoilsport in what promises to be a spicy series. Pakistan's variety with the ball against the mighty bats of the home team. West Indies couldn't run away to a big score today, until Pollard hit that four and six at the fag end of the final over. 13 runs was the best they managed in an over. So the series has effectively been cut down to 3 games now. Cricket fans would love to see these two exciting teams take on each other for the full 20 overs for the rest of the games. And Pollard will be a really happy man to move away from the Barbados pitches now as the cricket party moves to Guyana for the remainder of the series. We will see you all on Saturday for the second T20I. Take care!
14:00 Local Time, 18:00 GMT, 23:30 IST: The inevitable has happened. Match called off.
13:50 Local Time, 17:50 GMT, 23:20 IST: Play has to start in 16 minutes for us to have a result. It's still drizzling, though...
Yash: Extras - the second highest scorer of this innings!
13:40 Local Time, 17:40 GMT, 23:10 IST: As the players head back, the covers are brought on. Let's hope it's just a slight drizzle. 85 may not be a great score generally in a nine-over contest, but it's a tough pitch to bat on. The slower balls did most of the damage as the West Indies power-hitters found it difficult to get the timing right. Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan and he could have run Pollard out, but missed a straightforward chance. The WI skipper took advantage of it and hit a four and six off Afridi in the final over. Can Pakistan chase it down? Let's hope that the weather clears soon. It's gotten dark as well; that's not a good sign. Fingers crossed!...

Shaheen Afridi
2-0-20-0
Shaheen Afridi to Pollard, SIX, 135kph, Afridi bowls length and gets punished. Stays back, clears his front leg, swivels and muscles the pull to dispatch it over deep mid-wicket. Poor ball from Afridi and the West Indies captain latched onto it. 13 runs off the over - the most experienced over of the innings
Shaheen Afridi to Pollard, 2 runs, 130kph, shortish ball, Pollard goes hard on the pull and gets a top edge that falls well short of the in-running long-on fielder. He misfields and it results in an easy double
Shaheen Afridi to Pollard, FOUR, 125kph, shorter in length, Pollard pulls fiercely in front of square on the leg-side. The placement is spot-on
Shaheen Afridi to Pollard, no run, 124kph, Pollard is early into his heave against this short of length ball. Past the outside edge
Pollard has some problem with his bat and he's explaining the same to the umpire. Change of bat for the skipper with four balls remaining in the innings..
Shaheen Afridi to Holder, 1 run, 138kph, low full toss, Holder shuffles and flicks over mid-wicket. Yet anothe mistimed stroke
Shaheen Afridi to Holder, no run, 126kph, away-slanting length ball outside off, Holder swings and misses
Shaheen Afridi [1.0-0-7-0] is back into the attack
It's drizzling again and the groundsmen are ready near the boundary rope...

2-0-11-2
Hasan Ali to Holder, 1 run, 143kph, clears his front leg to loft over the bowler. Doesn't quite time it and long-off mops it up
Hasan Ali to Holder, no run, 140kph, short of length, Holder looks to guide it down to third man and ends up getting an inside edge onto his pad
Jason Holder, right handed bat, comes to the crease
raghav: Doesn't matter how good you have been in the past, but once those reflexes slow down, it becomes very difficult to compete in International Cricket. That's the case with Gayle now. Windies need to move on from him.
Hasan Ali to Hetmyer, out Caught by Rizwan!! Another West Indies batsman undone by the slower ball. Off-speed and into the wicket. Hetmyer gets inside the line, crouches to hook/scoop it over short fine. The ball comes slower than he expects and balloons up off the splice of the bat. The man with the gloves - Rizwan - runs in and dives forward to complete the catch. Hetmyer c Rizwan b Hasan Ali 5(5) [4s-1]
Hasan Ali to Hetmyer, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Hasan Ali to Pollard, 1 run, fullish ball, poked towards backward point with an opened bat-face
Hasan Ali to Pollard, 2 runs, slower ball bumper, Pollard is early into the pull and gets a top edge that goes over short fine. Pollard takes the first run lethargically and is in danger as he comes back for the second. The throw comes to the keeper's end and Hasan Ali fails to gather it cleanly. Pollard was way out of his crease. How costly will let-off be?
