The West Indies are showing sparks of old, and are starting to edge Test wins against some challenging sides in challenging conditions. Is this a second coming? Will the Caribbean giants rise again? Let the subconscious mind work on that while we sleep - it's Rishi Roy, signing off alongside Praveen, Raju Peethala and Nikhil Jadhav. That's it for the night from the Cricbuzz Studio, as we slide into dreamland before Monday devours us. Here's to more of the same in the 2nd Test in Jamaica next week. Cheers!

West Indies 1 - 0 Pakistan: We had a Kyle Mayers Test earlier this year, and a Rishabh Pant Test match even earlier than that. This, however, was the Seales Test match. Eight wickets in the game, five in the second innings, and a crucial little cameo at the business end, showing maturity beyond his years to wrap up the Test match. Pakistan's bowlers were fantastic, but they will feel hard done by, because they got very limited support at the business end of the Test match.

Kraigg Brathwaite | West Indies (winning) captain: A remarkable Test. We never lost hope. Pakistan bowled very well, and this pitch requires patience from the batsmen. Whoever had more patience came out on top. We have some time before the next Test and it will be a different pitch. The bowlers did well, they were tired, but they gave it their all. We have been working hard as a batting group and Blackwood is hungry for runs at his homeground so good on him. Pakistan will come back hard, but whoever is more patient will come out on top. I think this was a good cricket pitch - had something for the pacers, and had value for runs because the ball was coming on.

Jayden Seales | Man of the match: Words can't describe how I feel after the five-wicket haul, I'm just thankful to the almighty. In the partnership with Roach, we talked about positivity and patience, just waiting, and eventually we got there. Test cricket has been a dream, and getting five today, it really goes to the bowling coach who backed me to be successful at this level. All the bowlers keep telling me to keep going hard at the batsmen, hitting the lengths, and wickets will come. I wanted to give the strike to Roach, and just take the opportunities to score runs.

Babar Azam | Pakistan (losing) captain: This is the beauty of Test cricket. We did well with batting, but we didn't carry on with the momentum in the first innings. The bowlers did well, and then again we lost momentum with quick wickets in the second innings. It was difficult to score, it was swinging and seaming, the outfield was slow, and their bowlers bowled in the channel. We were patient and wanted to build a partnership. Hasan, Shaheen and Abbas were good throughout, and we took our catches, but we did drop two in the final session which might have made the difference.

Kemar Roach: Just stay positive, that's me. I just believed in myself, and as our batting coach Monty says, take it one ball at a time. Shaheen was a threat, so I kept him out, and at the end of the day we won the Test. It's by far my most important innings. I haven't had to bat with the tail often. I'm a part of the tail and I'm happy I managed to stay positive and win the Test for the team. I was expecting one there at the end, either a full one or a short one, and it was just about getting it through the gap for the winning runs. I told Jayden to protect the stumps, and he did it well - he showed good fight, and he's a star for the future. Seales is a great youngster, and I saw him before and he always looked like a great talent in New Zealand. I wish him all the luck for the future.

16:34 Local Time, 21:34 GMT, 03:04 IST: What a Test match to have witnessed here at Sabina Park! Ebbing and flowing? This was a rollercoaster! A middling total in the first innings, a slender lead from the West Indies courtesy Brathwaite and Holder, some fabulous seam bowling over the course of the Test, some impressive runs by Babar Azam and particularly Hasan Ali at the end to set it up for a tasty finish, but in a rather uncomfortable turn of events, Hasan Ali was the man who was driven away for the winning runs and the West Indies rejoice, bathe in the glory of a thrilling Test win, courtesy Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales, the men of the moment!

56.5

Hasan Ali to Roach, 2 runs, West Indies win by one wicket and go 1-0 up! Roach leans in to a good length ball outside off and caresses a drive through the cover region for a couple of runs to bring up the most thrilling, remarkable victory of modern times!

56.4

Hasan Ali to Roach, no run, short of length ball on off, a hop and a drop towards point

56.3

Hasan Ali to Roach, no run, good length ball on middle, defended

Are we going to have a tie here?

56.2

Hasan Ali to Roach, FOUR, luck! Lures him into the drive outside off, he has a waft, massive outside edge, Rizwan flies to his right and that's landed just short of him to run away to third man for four

55.6

Shaheen Afridi to Jayden Seales, no run, that's taken off, 145kmph from a short of length spot, Jayden Seales arches back to get out of the way and that's a good jumping take from Rizwan to prevent byes

55.5

Shaheen Afridi to Jayden Seales, no run, good length ball angling into the fourth stump channel, and that's left alone by Seales

55.4

Shaheen Afridi to Roach, 1 run, gets forward to defend, gets an outside edge down to third man for one

55.3

Shaheen Afridi to Jayden Seales, 1 run, fuller length on the boots, clipped away towards backward square leg for one

55.2

Shaheen Afridi to Jayden Seales, no run, skids through low, seams in from outside off, big appeal as Jayden Seales misses with the backfoot defence and that's struck him on the pads

55.1

Shaheen Afridi to Roach, leg byes, 1 run, has a swat at one on the pads, into the on-side for a quick single

Thriller, if ever there was one: 9 runs, 1 wicket.
