Anyway, that's all we have for you from here. Pakistan are used to this, an underwhelming match before kicking back hard. This Australia aren't used to a good start, especially away from home. We'll leave it here to take over on Sunday, and until then, on behalf of all of us, ta ta!!

22:40 Local Time: Australia, Pakistan and Sharjah - history adds another page to the proceedings, and it's the same usual thing, with Pakistan's otherwise fortress falling short of defending itself. But to their defence, the dew did quicken up the pitch under lights which made it much easier for the Aussies to score on. And boy, they were so damn clinical. Finch laid the foundation, announcing a smashing return to form, with none of the Pakistani bowlers being capable enough of doing a Bhuvi. Khawaja started off well, and then Marsh took over, stitching up a no-fuss stand with Finch to get them home with hardly a scare. The ones that came, weren't taken, with two fairly simple chances going down. There's really nothing much to write home about the bowling, with most of them yet to get their ODI patience back from the PSL.

Amir

9-0-59-0

48.6

Amir to Shaun Marsh, 2 runs, that'll do. A low full toss, and dug out with a flick through mid-wicket. And Handscomb's desperate for this to be the final delivery - runs, and runs so hard, with a dive as well to ensure it is. Never mind, it isn't a direct hit either

48.5

4

Amir to Shaun Marsh, FOUR, the sealing top-edge. Bumper, Marsh looks to hook, off the thick uppish half and goes as straight as it can - over the keeper

48.4

Amir to Handscomb, 1 run, slapped to cover, and the under-arm throw from out there isn't direct. Would've been fun had it ..

48.3

Amir to Shaun Marsh, 1 run, low full toss. Whipped away to deep mid-wicket, and Mailk covers quick groud to keep it to just the single

48.2

Amir to Handscomb, 1 run, cheeky shuffling crouched flick. Gets right behind the ball, half-sits and wrists it past his stumps behind square

48.1

Amir to Shaun Marsh, 1 run, short, outside off. Marsh tries his best to cut, has a hand off the handle as well, in the eventual forehand drag to long-off

Mohammad Amir [8.0-0-49-0] is back into the attack

So .. 10 off 12. Can Pakistan pull out a choke?

Faheem Ashraf

9-0-50-1

47.6

Faheem Ashraf to Shaun Marsh, 1 run, juicy full toss on the pads. Marsh politely flicks it away through square leg

47.5

Faheem Ashraf to Handscomb, 1 run, back of a length. Handscomb makes his room, slaps, but ends up losing shape in going too hard, cover

47.4

Faheem Ashraf to Shaun Marsh, 1 run, another front-leg-cleared whack. Long-off now

47.4

Faheem Ashraf to Shaun Marsh, wide, full, down leg and spinning away off the pitch to further beat the flick

47.3

Faheem Ashraf to Handscomb, 1 run, high full toss. Handscomb makes his room and carves it through sweeper

47.2

Faheem Ashraf to Handscomb, 2 runs, skiddy tummy-lined. Tucked away through square leg, and softly with some fumbling fielding as well to pinch the second

47.1

Faheem Ashraf to Shaun Marsh, 1 run, tailing into the legs, one of which Marsh clears and whips away uppishly behind square

Tharun MV: That's some renaissance shown by the Australians post India series at home. They have drastically improved in solving their batting woes and their approach in the middle overs.

Mohammad Abbas

10-0-44-1

46.6

Abbas to Handscomb, no run, good solid whack, and he couldn't have picked out point any better

46.5

Abbas to Handscomb, 2 runs, bends that front knee and hoicks across the line, but Yasir makes up for his earlier gaffe, diving and cleaning up the to-be-boundary at wide long-on
