That is it from the second T20I and Pakistan have wrapped up the series 2-0 with a game to spare. That went according to the script. But the thriller that brewed its way into the Pakistani innings was no where what the script was supposed to be when the chase of 125 started. But that is the drama you expect when two mercurial teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka lock horns. The series now moves to another country. The host country. In the company of Raju Peethala, Sagar Chawla and Sreenivas, yours sincerely Kumar Abhisekh Das bids you Bonne nuit.
Safraz Ahmed: Our bowlers have been outstanding. The way they brought us back into the game in the last four overs, I couldn't have asked for more. Shadab Khan was just amazing. The way he handled the pressure in the last over was superb. It was not that easy to play your shots on this wicket. But these players are working hard in every area to get better. That shot off Shadab Khan was a million dollar shot. We still have a lot to improve in our batting, we will work on it before we head to New Zealand. The entire team is very excited to go to Lahore, we will have a great support there. The way they supported World XI, I'm sure our crowd will also support the Sri Lankan side. I also want to thank the crowd here in Abu Dhabi.
Thisara Perera: We can take a lot of positives from this game. We gave our 100 percent and unfortunately that (dropped) catch in the last over cost us the game. Our bowlers did a great job. To defend that total wasn't easy, but they responded well. My team-mates are giving their 100 percent and that's what motivates me to give my 100 percent. Our plan is to have as many wickets as possible until 15 overs, but we lost the plot in the end overs today. It's a great place (Lahore) and I'm looking forward to it (the third T20I).
Shadab Khan, Man of the Match: I believed that I can win the game for my side. I tried my best to hit a six, because I had to and thankfully I did. It is very important to contain the batsmen in T20Is and bring some variety to the bowling and I'm working on it.
Earlier in the day, a hat-trick from Fahim Ashraf - first Pakistani bowler to take a hat-trick in T20Is - derailed the Lankan innings and they ended with a below par score of 124. A fifty from Gunathilaka, the man who dropped the catch in the last over, being the chief architect of the Lankan essay. Then Pakistan in their reply huffed and puffed as well. A couple of run-outs in their innings made it worse for them and they ended up being at the doorsteps of a loss. But Shadab Khan had other ideas. Stay tuned for the presentations. Another Lankan skipper will have to post-mortem another poor loss.
This is Lanka's 15th consecutive defeat in the limited overs(ODIs and T20Is). That says it all. They again contrived a way to lose this. 11 was needed off 4 balls and we saw a tough catch at long-off being put down. Then Shadab Khan sent out a reminder note to the world, that if his leggies don't get you, his sixes would. Tonked a huge six followed by a cheeky dink to long-on for a couple to grab a series win from the jaws of defeat. Talk about brawn and brain, this boy has it.
Sanjaya to Shadab Khan, 2 runs, this man has done it! Or should I say this boy in the form of a man has done it. Such a smart push down the ground, past the bowler as the fuller length delivery was delivered. He punches his fist in the air and Pakistan win the series 2-0 with a game to spare
Sanjaya to Shadab Khan, SIX, the hero for Pakistan is here! That has been blasted over the bowler's head for a sixer. The batsman hung back in the crease and bombarded it to dash the hopes of Lanka
Sanjaya to Hasan Ali, 3 runs, dropped! More importantly, he concedes three runs. The fielder came in at long-off and then jumped up to drop it. The ball burst through his fingers and ran away from him for a triple
Hasan Ali can hit the big shots. Can he deliver tonight?
Sanjaya to Shadab Khan, 1 run, another slanting in full ball, slogged away to long-on. 11 now
Hasan Ali, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Sanjaya to Fahim Ashraf, out Caught by Gunathilaka!! Looks for the helicopter but that crashes near the long-on region. That was full, it swung in and had no freedom for the batsman to get under it. Stroked straight to the man at long-on, who came in a few paces to take it. Huge wicket at the start of the over. 12 still needed. Fahim Ashraf c Gunathilaka b Sanjaya 4(6)
Sanjaya to Fahim Ashraf, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Vikum Sanjaya [3.0-0-20-0] is back into the attack
Sanjaya can bowl yorkers. He will bowl the last over.

Udana to Fahim Ashraf, leg byes, 1 run, huge appeal but has been turned down as the batsman looked to slog it away on the on-side. The ball rapped the pads but that was heading down leg. The ricochet off the pads went to the off-side and they took a run. 12 off the final over!
Udana to Fahim Ashraf, no run, superb stuff from Udana! Yorker outside off and the batsman fails to wood it
Udana to Shadab Khan, 1 run, length ball darts in and strikes the pad after the inside edge is found. The ball bobbles away into the on-side. 13 off 8 balls needed now. This has been a fine over from Udana
Udana to Fahim Ashraf, 1 run, heaves the ball away to fine leg for a single as the ball nibbled in
