The trophy is held aloft by the Proteas! The Bellerive Oval, under the lights, is truly a sight. And for a visiting team to hold aloft a trophy is certainly bittersweet for a crowd - an Aussie one at that - but it's a heartening sight for the game of cricket. No bitterness in this series though, particularly given that there was a lot of potential banter that the South Africans could thrown at the down-and-out Aussies. Quite encouraging to see that the focus was purely on the cricket - particularly on that surprising Perth wicket which lived up to the WACA's bounce. The decider, oh well, it was fantastic - particularly the crowd-muting death overs off Starc and Cummins. That's that then - this is Rishi Roy droppin' the curtains at Hobart, alongside Ramki, Akshay and Naga. Loads of cricket today, so take your pick and switch tabs accordingly. Peace out!
Faf du Plessis|South African (winning) captain: We played our best game of cricket. We tried to treat it like a World Cup game. We were good from a batting point of view, and especially against their seam bowling. We were great with the ball at the death as well. The set batsmen played extremely well today. We would have liked to bat first, and to test ourselves in these conditions. We were talking about trying to get to 240 at one stage, but Davey was fantastic with his explosive batting to get us to such a big total. Last time it was a Test series win at Hobart, and this time it's an ODI win, so we will remember this place quite fondly.
Aaron Finch|Australia (losing) captain: Every time you get set batters at the end of the innings, it's hard in Hobart. I think after 35 overs we were in a great position. We knew once you get in, you could cash in in the back-end. Credit to Miller and Faf for their hundreds. Marcus and Shaun were great with that partnership and if we were two down at that point, it would have been better, but not to be. We weren't great in the middle-overs and the powerplay, so that's definitely something to address.
David Miller|Man of the Match, Man of the series: Great feeling to contribute, especially when you win it. We were in a bit of trouble so we had to bat time, and Faf and I just wanted to extend the partnership. Nice to make it a big one. Really enjoying my batting, and looking forward to my opportunities in future. The wicket was two-paced, but a good wicket. It didn't slow up or get quicker - stayed the same. 300 was a good total, but that partnership was a little scary (between Stoinis and Marsh). Australia has been fantastic.
Shaun Marsh: It was disappointing (to get out at a crucial stage). Probably should have taken it a bit deeper. They batted really well in the last ten overs. It was good to score the hundred, but disappointed with the result.
KG Rabada: Never easy coming to Australia. Wanted to keep the momentum after Sri Lanka. Everyone played well - a team effort. Marsh and Stoinis did well too, but Faf and David kept going and did some damage in the end, so they won it for us today. It was two-paced, but as soon as the batters got in, they got very comfortable. Even the Aussie batters found it easy, but Faf and Miller went right through to the end. We were quite disciplined. We needed to be ruthless, and we did that. Didn't panic under pressure and reaped the rewards for that today. We deserved to win this one.
21:43 Local Time, 16:13 IST: What a moment for South Africa! A fantastic win for them in this series finale. After a shoddy start with the bat, South Africa were propelled into nirvana by Faf and Miller who formed a partnership for the ages (252 runs) taking us back into the good old days of the slog overs, as some of the best in the business received a thrashing of their lives - 75 off the last 5 overs, and a 20-run over each for Starc and Cummins at the death. Australia had a horrid start to their batting, losing Lynn in the first over, and Head soon after. Marsh and Stoinis got set and looked imperious in the middle, but Stoinis's dismissal against the run of play and Marsh throwing away his wicket after the hundred set the South Africans up for a fantastic win as they speared in the yorkers at the death and managed to win it quite comfortably in the end. A fantastic achievement to defeat Australia on their own turf, and this will be a series South Africa, particularly Steyn (who may be playing his last series down under) will remember for a long time.

Rabada to Hazlewood, no run, another perfect yorker, and it's dug out into the off-side. South Africa seal the series 2-1! A fantastic effort by them today, and the innings by Miller and Faf made this a boring one-sided affair...
Rabada to Hazlewood, wide, short one, Hazlewood backs away, that's down leg-side and too high as well, and it's a wide called. SA will have to wait...
Rabada to Pat Cummins, 1 run, fuller length delivery on the pads, clipped away towards mid-on for a single
Josh Hazlewood, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Rabada to Zampa, out Caught by du Plessis!! Now now, he's backing away again, far too early, out of fear or out of strategy, we will nevr know *wink*. A short of length delivery into the body, Zampa tries to loft it over the midwicket fielder, can't get enough power on it, ends up handing a backpedalling Faf an easy catch. 9 down! Zampa c du Plessis b Rabada 0(3)
Rabada to Zampa, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Rabada to Zampa, no run, another yorker length delivery following the batsman who is backing away into the on-side, Zampa digs it back out to the bowler
Rabada to Zampa, no run, short one in line with the stumps, Zampa backs away and has a swing at it, misses
Adam Zampa, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Rabada to Starc, out Caught&Bowled!! Boom! That's stuck in the pitch on a short of length, Starc has tried to take too much advantage of his height and attempts to loft it through the line, ends up getting it off the sticker, sans any leverage, and just lobs it back down the other end of the pitch as Rabada just has to jog back to settle under the catch. Golden duck for Starc. Starc c and b Rabada 0(1)
Rabada to Starc, THATS OUT!! Caught&Bowled!!
Kagiso Rabada [9.0-3-38-1] is back into the attack
A bow from Steyn - quite possibly his last ODI over in Australia...
