That should wrap it up here. It may have been an inconsequential one-off T20, just another piece of silverware, but some of the emotions in the end tell you how hard fought it was. It was a quick enough journey from rain to more rain to runs to more runs. Thanks for keeping us entertained with your comments all through, and hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until India hop down here next in a few days, this is Vineet Anantharaman signing off on behalf of Akshay Maanay and Shashikant Singh, ta ta!!

Tabraiz Shamsi | MoM: The fast bowlers struck upfront and made my job easier. Glad we got over the line. It is always special playing against Australia - strong team, wonderful history. We weren't going to take it easy before flying home tomorrow and I am glad that we could pull this one off.

Faf du Plessis | Protea skip: The bowlers once again stepped up and produced the goods. Picking wickets in this format is always important because T20 is all about slogging. It ends a really good tour for us. We learnt a few lessons about the things that worked and didn't work. The first three overs were really good for us. As I have said many times, Australia is a very tough place to tour and play cricket in, so to get a series win in both white-ball formats is a big achievement and we'll go home with our heads held high.

Aaron Finch | Aussie skip: I think they got off to a great start with the bat. We did well to pull it back in the end, but they had a lot of runs with them. When the middle-order comes in and has to score at 12-14 rpo, they don't have a lot of time to knock it around. We just didn't get the boundaries up front. The boys are really positive, we're definitely moving in the right direction. It was amazing in the first place to get a game in. The boys are hurting as much as anyone but we'll turn it around real quick against India. We have a day off and we'll be ready to go again by Wednesday.

22:14 Local Time: This was fun. It ended up being a smash-everything encounter from a stage where even getting a game in looked unlikely. And in the end, the difference was how different the powerplays were for both sides. South Africa smashed 42 runs, losing just the one wicket, whereas Australia could manage only 27, and lost their top three. Chris Lynn, with his leg-sided-slaps looked in the mood, but he really couldn't do much against the Morris bolt that crashed into the base of his middle-stump. Nobody could have. Glenn Maxwell, the only other guy to get into double-digits, did keep the Australian hopes alive with some decent strikes, but then with absolutely no support from the other end - not even to turn the strike back to him - it was asking for too much. Phehlukwayo disguised his change-ups well, Rabada was quick enough to trouble and Ngidi too did well to keep his nerve in the end, all sharing two wickets apiece. Shamsi squeezed the run-flow in the middle-stages, not being afraid to toss the ball up and give it a rip even in such situations. Stay put, we'll bring you the presentations.

Lungi Ngidi to Maxwell, out Caught by Behardien!! Nail the coffin, officially. A high full toss, probably even over the waist, but Maxwell goes for a big club over .. well, anywhere one-sided. Skews up the outside half, flying up and tamely to long-on waiting. Australia slip to their fourth T20 loss in a row - this time by 21 runs in a 10-over disguise. Lungi Ngidi to Maxwell, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

9.5

Lungi Ngidi to Coulter-Nile, 1 run, low full toss. Whipped away through mid-wicket

9.4

Lungi Ngidi to Coulter-Nile, no run, slower, disguised well, with some spongy bounce going over the leg-slog. You'd need a mathematical miracle now to get this match back to life

9.3

Lungi Ngidi to Coulter-Nile, no run, the leg-lined yorker. Swings, gets followed and the ball passes between his leg and his leg-pole

9.3

Lungi Ngidi to Coulter-Nile, wide, full outside off, but Coulter-Nile makes it worse by backing away. No, he's convinced the umpire to assume it is outside the tramline

9.2

Lungi Ngidi to Maxwell, 1 run, much better. Fuller, squirting out the toe-end running down to mid-off

9.1

6

Lungi Ngidi to Maxwell, SIX, bang in the slot. Oh dear, the cardinal length to bowl at this stage, Maxwell backs, gets under and smokes it into the sightscreen. Four more of these will do ..

Lungi Ngidi [1.0-0-7-1] is back into the attack

8.6

Rabada to Maxwell, 1 run, follows him with the yorker. Maxwell can only jam it out, through mid-wicket. But that isn't the worst result - he has his strike back. 31 needed. So a miracle ..

Anubhav: Poor Chap Maxwell... when everything is going his way, rest of the team is collapsing....

Rabada to Maxwell, FOUR, top-edges the pull, and trust these top-edges in these situations to help the equation. Quickly flying into fine leg

8.4

4

Rabada to Maxwell, FOUR, short, into the body. Maxwell walks well inside the line, pulls, never mind only the glove on it, but he'll take the one going very fine

8.4

Rabada to Maxwell, wide, short, angling in. Maxwell moves in, swings, misses

8.3

Rabada to Maxwell, no run, full, just outside off .. gee, talk about nailing the blockhole. Maxwell swings, sure, but can't connect

The ball slips out of Rabada's palm as he is just about to deliver - with the ball looping past the pitch. But Maxwell startes, he wants it to be deemed a no ball. But no, it's dead
