England won by 118 runs (29 Ovs Match due to rain)
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Sam Curran
Batter
Bowler
Twelve balls | Four wickets. Game done. The rest of the second innings was just a drag, just a formality. It turned into England versus the rain. Now England may not have batted out their quota of overs yet again, but they'd be pleased. On a pitch that had a bit of juice in it, their overaggressive approach stands vindicated. We, meanwhile, have completed our quota of writing it out for you, as I, Vineet Anantharaman, sign off on behalf of Pradeep Krishnamurthy and our scorer, Praveen. Until Sunday, and Leeds, and in the hope that the UK heatwave returns, ta ta!!
Sam Curran | MoM: I think any time I go into bat, I try to bat with a batter's mindset. Coming back from injury, I wanted to be more consistent. With this batting lineup, I just look to chip in. I have enjoyed the break. I don't look too far ahead, but a great win. The message is always to take the positive option. Me and Liam were just about picking your bowler and taking them down. The way he was striking was impressive. I just want to try and be adaptable and give Jos more options. [On his slower balls] I always try to improve, but I won't give away any secrets (laughs).
Jos Buttler | Winning skipper: Great for us to get that win. Delighted with the way we came out with the ball and those early wickets helped. With the bat, the guys just kept playing positively. That mindset helps get a good score. Can we do it better? Yes. I want the boys to back themselves. We are trying to find ways to put pressure back on the opposition and I want the guys to keep taking the positive option. Liam and me were trying to rebuild and bat till the 20-over mark. Sam is confident to come in and take the bowling on, which is great to see. The guys are bowling brilliantly. Topley picked early wickets and so did David. We knew if we held the length, it would be tough for them. I just want us to continue on the path we are on. We haven't fired with the bat so far, but we know how dangerous we can be when we do.
Keshav Maharaj | Losing skipper: I thought it was a score that was chasable. When you go four down in the powerplay, it is hard to come back from it. You needed a good foundation, but a few bad shots happened. Pretorius plays as a very professional guy and it showed today. Thoroughly enjoying my captaincy; helps my game. The rest is a part and parcel of the game.
20:50 Local Time, 19:50 GMT, 01:20 IST: Quite a massive mismatch this. In a match that was reduced to 29-overs-per-side, we've had both sides getting all-out. South Africa though, haven't just been bowled out, they've been blown out. Chasing 201, left-arm seam in the opening spell, an overdose of it, was just too hot for the Proteas to handle, and then it was only a case of whether they'd be bailed out by the rain. It began to drizzle in the eleventh over, and Klaasen tried his best to delay things by complaining about the pitch covering sheets by the boundary. But the umpires kept the players out there, Buttler switched to spin from both ends, and the Protea batting continued to crumble. Here come the presentations ..
Moeen Ali to Nortje, out Caught by Bairstow!! Dances out, swings, miscues, and holes out right at the edge of the boundary straight down the ground. South Africa equal their lowest ever ODI total against England. Yea, that's how bad this thrashing has been. Nortje c Bairstow b Moeen Ali 6(12)
Moeen Ali to Nortje, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Moeen Ali to Shamsi, 1 run, another walk across his stumps, this time covering the line well to knock it down to long-on
Moeen Ali to Shamsi, no run, walks across to nudge it to leg, but ends up leading-edging it to cover
Moeen Ali to Nortje, 1 run, spinning in on middle, slapped down to long-off
Shamsi survies. But South Africa don't. 20 overs are in, and frankly, that was the only fun left in this game.

Adil Rashid to Shamsi, no run, googly, beaten, LBW given onfield, but reviewed immediately. UltraEdge shows a clear spike on the inside-edge
Adil Rashid to Shamsi, FOUR, wow, clubbed back. Mid-off and mid-on are inside the ring, and Shamsi uses the overpitched delivery to hammer down the ground
Adil Rashid to Shamsi, no run, the slider, past the nudge, and onto the front knee roll
Tabraiz Shamsi, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Adil Rashid to Ngidi, out Caught&Bowled!! Chipped back. Well, well, England aren't winning this on DLS. They're doing it fair and square. The length's slightly short on this delivery, and Ngidi punches it from his crease, with the ball lobbing back off the toe-end for the easiest of catches. Ngidi c and b Adil Rashid 0(8)
Adil Rashid to Ngidi, THATS OUT!! Caught&Bowled!!
Adil Rashid to Ngidi, no run, length, on off, solidly tapped back down the pitch
Adil Rashid to Nortje, 1 run, full, on off, whipped down to long-on
