Bavuma lifts the trophy! South Africa 3 -- 0 Ireland. The hosts raised everyone's expectations with their performances in the first two ODIs. The Proteas, however, came back strongly to win four matches on the trot and end the tour on a high. They have now won back-to-back T20I series (WI and Ireland) inside a month. That augurs well for them in a World Cup year. Ireland, meanwhile, have plenty of issues to address, especially in the batting department. That's all we've got from this encounter. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye from all of us down here..

Bavuma | South Africa captain: We came here with certain goals that we wanted to achieve and I believe we have done so. We want to challenge ourselves according to out standards and keep getting better and better. We have the opportunity to do something that hasn't been done. World Cup is still a couple of months away, we still have time to iron out all the little things, we are looking forward to that event. It's (captaincy) been tough. Personally from my point of view, you always want to lead with the bat as the leader. Being short there makes it tough. Having said that, the performances from the team's point of view, we have managed to get good success and I am enjoying the responsibility. The road and journey is still long. All of us can be proud of our efforts so far.

David Miller | Player of the Series: It's nice to contribute after the one-dayers. I was struggling a little bit in the West Indies, it was nice to come out and get some runs on the board and hit it sweet again. Series win as well, a little bonus there. I really am looking forward to taking over that role (senior-most member). Guys make it easy off the field. We are really working hard to get it right in certain areas ... but (it's) always a nice role. (On the T20 World Cup) We have been preparing well for the last couple of weeks and months. Going into the tournament to win the tournament ... one game at a time, we know it's a long comp, T20 can happen pretty quickly with results, we need to be on it every single game. Really looking forward to it. It's been a really great time (in Ireland).

Andy Balbirnie | Ireland captain: We haven't batted well in all three games. We have been clearly rusty in this format, we haven't played in a long time. We have got eight or nine games leading up to the T20 World Cup. We need to get it right but it's been a great experience to play against a very good South African team. The bowlers have been really good throughout. They have got us in the match in all the three games really. We just haven't got starts we needed with the bat for whatever reason. Our batting's been the strong point over the last couple of years in T20 cricket. It won't be reinventing the wheel, we'll be practising hard. (On Ben White) He's worked really hard to get where he is now. He's trained well and impressed a lot of people. We need a leg-spinner in our squad, to give him that exposure against a really strong South African team will do him a world of good. (On gaining 15 WCSL points) We played really good cricket that week in Malahide. It's a shame that we couldn't bring it into the T20 series. We have got a lot of cricket to play and the guys are really eager to get better and that's all you can ask.

Temba Bavuma | Player of the Match: It was nice to hit the ball in the middle, nice to also contribute to the team. It's been a long series, have been a but short on runs, I just tried to stay confident knowing that the knock is round the corner. Reeza and I play for the Lions and we have a good relationship. We know our strengths, we know how to pick each other up, it was good to bat with him. I'm sure even he would have enjoyed getting an opportunity out there. We felt that we've been trying too hard in the powerplay and as a result we've been collapsing at the front. So we tried to take our time, lay the foundation and allow all the big-hitters to have fun.

19:16 Local Time, 18:16 GMT, 23:46 IST: A dominating performance from South Africa despite making five changes to their playing XI. Their openers started watchfully before upping the ante and stitching a 127-run stand. Miller, coming on the back of a match-winning knock, applied the finishing touches with a 17-ball 36* as his team posted a massive score of 189. Chasing a mammoth total, Ireland lost Kevin O'Brien and Paul Stirling inside the powerplay. Andy Balbirnie looked in decent touch during his stay at the crease but got trapped lbw by Linde while trying to play a big shot. Ireland kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never threatened to get close to South Africa's total. Young and McCarthy added 33 runs for the ninth wicket but that only delayed the inevitable. South Africa clearly outclassed the home team in all three facets of the game. Hang around for the presentations...
