PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Kagiso Rabada

Bowler
We are done with the white ball format of the game for this home season of New Zealand. The two teams will now face off against each other in three Tests - the first of which will start on March 8th - at the University Oval, Dunedin. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
AB de Villiers: 'We won quite a few important tosses in this series, made our task easier. Credit to New Zealand, they fought hard. It was tough to assess the conditions here, our bowlers did the work for us. It was a bit slow at times, needed to get a few boundaries and put the pressure on the bowlers. They are a team that always squeeze, they kept fighting and put us in a corner. Fantastic work from Faf du Plessis and Miller. Faf is turning out to be a great player, we spoke about a couple batting it out and the others having a bit of a hit. I will be following the team in the Tests, best of luck for Faf and his team.'
Williamson: 'It was a disappointing effort with the bat. Credit to AB and his team, they deserved this win, they completely outplayed us here. Lots of positives with the ball, but the batting wasn't good enough. It can be tough to rotate strike on this ground, need to improve ourselves. We need to be better, we have shown some glimpses of what we are capable of, when you are playing against the best team in the world - you need to be on top of your game. Need to do a lot better though. We have had a great summer, but today was a let-down of sorts. They played very well and didn't allow us into the match.'
Rabada: 'I actually took some rest so that I could get back to my best - coming into the game. The management gave us some pointers about the way we need to bowl here, the T20I game was useful as well. The short ball was tough to deal with, especially with the longer boundaries on one side of the ground. We need to transfer our skills now to the Test format of the game.'
Kagiso Rabada is the Man of the Match for his three for 25
South Africa have claimed the number one rank back from Australia in ODIs with this commanding victory. It was the bowlers who set things up. Rabada's first spell was superb, he was well supported by Morris and Phehlukwayo. Imran Tahir spun the hosts into a corner and 149 was all they could muster. While the batting was below par, the bowlers gave all they had. De Kock and Amla were sent back cheaply, so was Duminy. AB de Villiers threatened to take the match away - but his cameo was nipped in the bud by a stunning Neesham bouncer. How often can you claim to have bounced out the best batsman of the world? David Miller took cue from his captain and batted positively - striking a 35-ball 45. At the other end was the serene Faf du Plessis, who remained unbeaten on 51 and guided his team home.
Boult to du Plessis, FOUR, South Africa take the series 3-2, this was banged in short and on the stumps, du Plessis swivels across, rolls his wrists and pulls it in front of square on the on-side for a boundary, raises his fifty as well
Boult to Miller, 1 run, Jeetan drops a steepler, banged in short and on the stumps, Miller has been in some trouble with that delivery, was looking to pull. The ball got big on him, went off the top-edge, high into the night sky of Auckland. Jeetan was late to start, had to put in the dive in the end, got both hands but can't hold on. Has a wry smile on his face

Santner to du Plessis, no run, half-an-appeal for LBW, but the angle was taking it down the leg-side. This was the arm-ball from Santner, pitched on middle and slid with the arm, beat du Plessis on the inside edge and rapped him on the pads

Boult
9-0-39-0
Boult to Miller, no run, nicely bowled by Boult, bangs it short and gets it to follow Miller as he backed away slightly. He was in no man's land as he looked to drop his gloves, it thudded into it and lobbed towards the off-side, no fielder close-in though and Miller survives
Boult to Miller, no run, low full-toss from Boult, pushed towards mid-on
Boult to du Plessis, 1 run, banged in short and on the stumps, Plessis hops across and dabs it down towards third man
