There it is, then. 2-1 to South Africa, with West Indies up against the wall, with no scope for error in the next two. It got as close as it could've, down to the final over, but both teams carry their baggage - West Indies and their inability to forge partnerships and South Africa's deflating finishing touch. With all the flaws, this remains a riveting series, with two games to go. For now, it's a goodbye from us at Cricbuzz with sunrise a couple of hours away. Nighty night!

Temba Bavuma | South Africa captain: I think it is a confidence booster for us. We have found a way to get over the line - something we have missed in the past. There's still a lot of cricket to go in the series. I think we have to have the conversations to finish well even though it gets harder to bat at the back end. We are striving for close to 180 and if not, we believe in our bowlers to take us home. Aiden is more than a part-timer, and it was good to have him, so it's nice to have the extra option. Shammo (Shamsi) needs to control that middle-overs for us, and he has been doing that. George Linde has been learning too, but Shammo has been magnificent. These guys are not the World Champions for nothing, so we can't take them lightly, so we must keep turning up and executing our skills.

Kieron Pollard | West Indies captain: It has plagued us over the two games, and we need to get the chase right. We had a lot of dots and didn't capitalize on a good start. We couldn't get over the line despite starts, and we have to find a way, that's it. We have close matches, some you win, some you lose. We need to find a way to win. The bowlers have been fantastic, you can't fault their efforts. Both teams have gotten off to good starts, but Obed and Bravo have executed well to restrict SA to 167. Obed had a brilliant series last year, and to continue that this series shows that he's growing. It's just a matter of getting across the line from next game.

Tabraiz Shamsi | Player of the Match: It was nice to put in a performance for the team, but the whole bowling performance was brilliant. Quinny (de Kock) showed his class, good powerplay. You have to change lines and lengths according to the pitches. We had a hard chat after the first game. We got criticism but people forget this is a young bowling group and you can see that the boys are learning quickly. Depends on the batters you are bowling to, you got to adjust your lines and lengths accordingly. The guys showed great guts, happy to be 2-1 up. The wickets are getting tougher, so credit to our batting unit for the way we started. Didn't finish well but we fully back them. We bowlers are there to defend whatever is on the board.

17:47 Local Time, 21:47 GMT, 03:17 IST: For 239 balls, this match was alive, see-sawing teasingly every over, every ball at some point. South Africa were cruising with their batting before the West Indies put the brakes on at the death to be faced with a fairly chaseable target. The West Indies openers got them off to a very good start, but a flurry of wickets, courtesy some fantastic fast bowling by Rabada and a miserly spell from Shamsi (my man of the match) where he bowled almost two overs to Dre Russ, meant that the West Indies were playing catch-up until Russell hit those two sixes off Nortje. That over, however, ended with the wicket of Russell, and after that, despite a few lusty blows to balance things out, the wickets kept tumbling. A fabulous penultimate over from Nortje made the job easier for Rabada, who was certainly upto it in the final over and killed the game within the first five balls. Presentations coming up in a bit.

Rabada to Fabian Allen, SIX, South Africa clinch this by ONE RUN! A full-toss, the first time Rabada has erred, but he just had to bowl a legal ball. Allen short-arms this swat into the cow corner fence but it's all futile. South Africa have won by 1 run, and take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series.

19.5

Rabada to Fabian Allen, no run, well, he's nailed it with the yorker. He's killed it with the yorker. Another one goes through the legs and to QdK who collects...

8 off 2. A six will change everything this ball. This has gone down to the wire.

19.4

Rabada to Fabian Allen, 2 runs, fuller length ball on the boots, whipped away towards deep square leg for a couple - a second courtesy a fumble by Nortje in the deep

19.3

Rabada to Fabian Allen, no run, follows him into the leg-side again, has a swing at it, trying the old pick-up, but that yorker length ball goes through his legs and through to the keeper again

19.2

4

Rabada to Fabian Allen, FOUR, a low full-toss, just errs a little bit in length, Fabian Allen swings his bat, gets enough wood on it to get it away to the fine leg fence for four!

19.1

Rabada to Fabian Allen, no run, follows the batsman, nutmegs him with the yorker, beats the flick and gets it to QdK who scrambles to gather that

19.1

Rabada to Fabian Allen, wide, full-toss down leg, and QdK has done well to stop that from going for 5 wides

Kagiso Rabada [3.0-0-28-1] is back into the attack

15 to win off 6. Nortje has bowled one heck of a penultimate over, and my colleague Ramki seconds that. How's this going to end?

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, no run, nails the yorker length ball at 140kmph at the base of off-stump, Dwayne Bravo can only dig it out and the pressure is on the WIndies in the final over...

Dwayne Bravo, right handed bat, comes to the crease

More see-saw-ercery. Back in South Africa's favour now. Nortje has one good ball to bowl to DJ.

Nortje to Pooran, out Lbw!! He's tried to walk across and lap the pace of Nortje, who has picked this ball to get his yorker right - slides under his bat to strike the pads. Nothing on UltraEdge as it passes the bat. Ball tracking: Pitching on middle, crashing into the bottom of middle and off. That's as out as it can get. Pooran lbw b Nortje 27(28) [4s-1 6s-1]

Nortje to Pooran, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!
