The trophy is presented and South Africa mill around in celebrations. There's the customary photo session and that brings an end to their white-ball segment of the England tour. The Proteas are looking good ahead of the T20 World Cup, but they can now start planning for the 3-match Test series, which will be a part of the 2023 World Test Championships. They are currently at the top of the ladder, but they can't afford any reversals. Do join us on August 17th for the 1st Test at Lord's. For now, cheers and bye..
David Miller | Winning captain - I'm fit, had a back spasm, was getting some treatment and was ready to go. It's always a good problem to have (on their batting options), going into the World Cup. Everyone has contributed at various moments in the game. It's really nice to chip in as a captain, I have learnt a lot, the bowlers have been good and it's been a nice challenge. The last 18 months have been phenomenal, the guys have stood up at various stages, T20 is an interesting game, the World Cup is still a long way away, but we're looking forward to it.
Andy Balbirnie | Losing captain - It wasn't as close as the scoreboard suggested. We lost too many early wickets and couldn't get back on in that chase. I thought our spinners bowled well, but they batted well and cashed in at the back end. It's always like that, play out the tough ones and make the most towards the end. It's great to be back next week (against Afghanistan), so that doesn't give us a lot of time to look back at this series, it's going to be a 5-match series and we're very much looking forward to it.
Reeza Hendricks | Player of the Series - I fell short of a half-century, but the guys played well and I'm just happy to contribute. Try and keep it as simple as possible (his batting mantra) and just play your own game. We were just focusing on the ball, not thinking too far ahead and we were happy with the end result.
Wayne Parnell | Player of the Match - I was trying to keep things simple, we have some plans before the match, but credit to the batters for getting 182 on this pitch. I came into the series wanting to do the basics and do what the team needed. We have enjoyed playing together, a lot of competition which is great.
21:49 Local Time, 20:49 GMT, 02:19 IST: Chasing 183 on this pitch was never easy, but Ireland were never in the contest. Lost two wickets in the 2nd over and it went downhill from there on. Paul Stirling did produce some dazzling strokes, but he needed more than just a 16-ball cameo. The middle-order fell away, Harry Tector held one end, but Parnell struch twice in the 15th over to effectively end the chase. Barry McCarthy enjoyed himself and the crowd with a breezy 32, but that only served to lessen the margin of defeat. So, yet another series loss to Ireland, they haven't beaten a Test playing nation in this format of the game since long, and that's bad omens going into the 2022 T20 Cricket World Cup. For South Africa, it was all about polishing some rough edges, they did some, they failed on a couple of fronts, but it's looking good going into the mega tournament. Stay tuned for the presentations..
Pretorius to McCarthy, out Caught by Markram!! This time, he's caught at deep mid-wicket and South Africa wrap the series with an easy 44-run win. Pretorius kept it full and on the pads, McCarthy was early into the swipe, caught a massive front-edge and went all the way to Markram in the deep, he doesn't drop those and the visitors claim the series by a 2-0 margin. McCarthy c Markram b Pretorius 32(19) [4s-3 6s-2]
Pretorius to McCarthy, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Pretorius to Joshua Little, 1 run, on a good length and at the stumps, slugged away without any timing to long-on
Pretorius to McCarthy, 1 run, a sitter and Maharaj has dropped it, the crowd like that, but Maharaj seems to have hurt himself as he lays on the ground. Was a hard length delivery outside off and McCarthy mistimed the pull badly, hit slightly high on the bat and lobbed towards long-on - Maharaj came in, got into a great position, but let the ball burst through his hands, hit his left knee and rolled away
Pretorius to Joshua Little, 1 run, full and following Joshua Little, on the pads and it's clipped behind square on the on-side for a single
Pretorius to McCarthy, leg byes, 1 run, full and following McCarthy as he came down the pitch, off the pads and the ball rolls towards short third man for a leg-bye
Dwaine Pretorius [3.0-0-30-2] is back into the attack

Ngidi to Joshua Little, no run, short of a good length and well wide of off, Little was looking to run it towards the keeper and missed
Ngidi to McCarthy, 1 run, on a good length and at the stumps, a one-handed hoick from McCarthy, gets an under-edge, behind square on the on-side for a single
Ngidi to McCarthy, SIX, smashed, McCarthy finally connects one and he's sent it sailing over mid-wicket - picked the length early and gave it a big whack, got enough to sail over the ropes
Ngidi to McCarthy, no run, on a good length and holding its line outside off - McCarthy aims mid-wicket with the slog and is beaten once again
Ngidi to McCarthy, no run, another slower ball from Ngidi, was the cutter and McCarthy was way too early into the slog, beaten and the ball bounces through to the keeper
Ngidi to McCarthy, no run, McCarthy charges down the pitch, but he hasn't read the slower ball, swings way too early and misses
Lungi Ngidi [2.0-0-7-1] is back into the attack
